Chapter 2

Sana's Perspective

I woke up early in the morning. I'm kinda used to waking up that way. Maybe because I really don't want to be treated a royalty or even act one.

"Queen Nayeon, I just wanted to talk about my break for the summer to visit my home." I heard my personal maid, Kang Jihyo, talking to mom, I guess?

"Uhm Jihyo. You really don't want to be with us for summer? It's our vacation. You know, I'm considering and claiming you as our own relative because when I was a child you're the one who took care of me and taught me good things." Stated mom solemnly while looking at Mrs. Kang with sad eyes.

"I'm sorry your majesty but I can't. I have a child and I know he already missed me so much. It's been almost a year since I last visited him there." Mrs. Kang apologetically replied to mom.

"But my daughter's will miss you, especially Sana. I will miss you, too, you know?" Mom continued to plead Mrs. Kang to stay.

"I'm very sorry my queen. But, I'm sure that your vacation will be happy even without me. You're with your family so it's fine. And don't worry, my husband will stay here with your family." Reassured of Mrs. Kang with now a genuine smile.

"Okay then but I will still miss you. You'll leave tomorrow right?"

"Yes, Queen Nayeon."

"Ok please be safe."

"Likewise to your family, my queen. Thank you so much."

Mom and Mrs. Kang didn't know that I'm listening to them. And I was scared that Ms. Jihyo will leave me. She's the only one I considered my family the most.

"What? Mrs. Kang is leaving temporarily? What should I do? Hmm..." I started thinking about what my plan that would be done by tomorrow. "Oh I know!"

THE NEXT DAY...

I woked up very early just to see Mrs. Kang's departure. I listen at what she's talking about with mom right now.

"I'm leaving, thank you Queen Nayeon for letting me have a vacation for my family." Ms. Jihyo bowed in front of mom.

"Come back soon, okay?" Said mom and smiled at Mrs. Kang.

Mrs. Kang smiled back at mom. "I will, your majesty."

I looked at Ms. Jihyo who's about to leave the palace. "No! I need to do something..."

I followed Mrs. Kang outside the palace gates. Luckily, the guards didn't see me.

Mrs. Kang rode a carriage that is runned by a horse. I quickly sat secretly at the back while Mrs. Kang is on the horse's back. I was relieved when she didn't noticed me.

For several minutes, I don't know where this carriage is taking me but as I look around, I saw the beautiful field. There even are kids playing around. How I wish I could be like them, carefree and free from rules and obligations from the palace.

Dahyun's Perspective

I heard a sound of a horse neighing, that means mom had visited me again after a long time! I immediately told my bestfriend, Chaeyoung, that my mother is already here. We quickly ran outside our home to welcome my mother with a hug.

"Mother!" I exclaimed happily and hugged mom once I saw her.

"Dahyun my son! Oh gosh I missed you so, so much!" Mother hugged me back tightly while cheerfully saying that.

"I missed you too, mother!" I told her with the same tone.

"Hi there Chaeyoung! You've grown up so fast." Mother smiled at my bestfriend.

"Hello auntie!" He smiled back dorkly.

"Lets go inside I have something to give you two." Stated mother as we followed her.

After we sat on the chairs, mom brought out small boxes. "So I have these gifts for you two. I hope you'll like it."

"Wow! Thank you Mother! You're the best mom ever. Thank you for all of your efforts, I really appreciate it." I stated happily to mother and hugged her.

"Oh my son... You're welcome."

"Thank you auntie for the gift you've got me, I'm glad you didn't forgot about me, hahaha." Chaeyoung laughed slightly as mom chuckled at him.

"Oh yes, that's my gratitude for you that Dahyun didn't felt lonely even though I'm not here." Told mom to Chaeyoung. "You two you should sleep now and Chaeyoung, thank you for today. You can go back now to your house, it's already late. Your parents might worry about you." Mother stated while looking at my bestfriend.

"Okay! Thank you again, auntie. Goodnight!" Chaeyoung then left our house while skipping happily. Aish, that dork.

"And you Dahyun, clean yourself up and sleep." Instructed mother to me and I just complied.

"Okay, mother. Goodnight!"

Author's Perspective

Jihyo didn't know that Princess Sana is behind her and following her all this time.
Sana went outside of the carriage and looked around this place that she didn't knew.

"Where should I go? I don't know where is this..." Sana thought while walking around, feeling lost.

Sana then find a door, a back door to be exact, she entered the it and it was the room of Dahyun! Since she didn't know what this place is, she thought that it would be better to hide herself. But before she could even do, Dahyun already entered his room.

"Oh my god who are you?!" The said guy uttered in surprise.

"Shush!" Sana tried to shush Dahyun to keep him silent.

"Who are you!? I will call my mother!"

"Okay, I will explain! Just shut your mouth please!?" Dahyun stopped talking and let Sana explain. "But, I have a favor. Be quiet 'cause this might shock you."

"What? Go explain. Now!" Dahyun demanded.

Sana sighed at the eagerness of shorter guy. She took a deep breath and started talking. "I'm princess Sana from Osaka, Japan, but we are currently living here in South Korea. Your mother, Kang Jihyo, is the one whose taking care of me. She's my personal maid."

"What? Why are you here? And does my mom know about this?" Dahyun continued to question Sana.

"No, she doesn't. I will tell all of this to her but not now. Can you trust me?" The princess looked at guy with those unresistable pleading eyes of her.

"*sighs* Yes, a bit." Dahyun went to his bed and took a pillow and another blanket from the closet. "You can rest here for now but only until tomorrow, okay? Do you understand me?"

"Yes, thank you..."

"You can sleep on my bed. I'll just sleep in the couch."

"Oh ok."

Somehow, Sana was disappointed that Dahyun choose to sleep somewhere else...
