Skylar's POV
I decided not to sing tonight, my friend Mark was going to take my place instead, his voice was the only one good enough to replace me and not have the crowd disappointed.

"So when are you gonna ask her out on a date? Or are you just gonna stare at her all night" I looked over to Giovanni, he was my best friend and also the bar owner.

"I don't know Gio, she doesn't seem like the type to get with me, plus I gave her my number and she hasn't texted me at all." I looked over to her booth once again she caught me, she gave me a smile and waved. I turned back to Gio, "Seriously Skylar why don't you go over there?" I shrugged. "Gio she's with her friends I'm not gonna go bother her." Gio patted my back, "You're hopeless, but good luck, I mean honestly she'd make a better girlfriend than Madison."

Mark was in the middle of his song when my phone suddenly buzzed.

Unknown: Hey it's jordan, meet me outside.

I looked over to her booth, empty. I left money under my drink and rushed outside nearly bumping into Jordan. "Woah slow down there, whats the big rush?" I was going to flirt with her but her friends were staring so I just shrugged. "So uh what did you need?" Jordan looked over to her friends and then to me. "We're going to a party...and you're my date." She grabbed my hand and interlocked our fingers. She grazed her thumb over my hand, giving me a warm smile.

"So uh whose party is this?" Her friend who I think was named Alex turned to me. "Well she's actually a friend of ours right Jordan?" I noticed Jordan clench her jaw. "Her name is Reagan and she has this like HUGE crush on Jordan." After that Jordan let go of my hand crossing her arms. "Shut up Alex you always do this shit." She then pulled out her car keys "Skylar's going in the front with me." Her friend turned to me raising her eyebrows.

I don't know what made me more nervous, the fact I was going to a party with the girl I had a crush on, or thinking that I was probably already starting on a bad foot with her friends.
