Jordan's POV
I woke up to the noise of a guitar. I opened my eyes only to see Skylar sitting outside in the balcony with her guitar in her arms. I looked under the covers hoping nothing happened last night. "Don't worry darling I left you in your clothes because I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable, I only took off your shoes, socks, and jacket." She put her guitar back in its stand. "Do you want me to make us breakfast or would you prefer to go out and eat?" I must've spaced out because Skylar tapped my shoulder, "Whats wrong Jordan?"
"Nothing really, can you just take me home? I usually come home so I don't want my mom to be worried about me, maybe we can get dinner tonight instead?" I placed my hand on top of hers but I could see how upset she was the way her face changed. She moved her hand away from mine. "I can't see you tonight, maybe another day I guess."
She walked out without another word. I put my address into her phone because she didn't seem in the mood to talk, and I was correct the whole car ride to my house was silent. "See you soon?" I said before leaving. "Yeah" She smiled at me.
"Mom I'm home!!" I walked into the living room but there was no one. Soon I heard both of my parents come downstairs, they didn't look too happy. "Jordan we need to talk with you." I felt my palms start sweating at her nervous I was. "What is it?" My parents both looked at each other disappointed.
"Honey, I lost my job and without any finical help we may need to move." I shook my head, there's no way I'm leaving everything I grew up with behind. "I'm sorry sweetie, on the bright side I have a couple of months to look for another job but if I have no luck then we will definitely need to move away."
