6: staying with Yuna <3

"Why do red blood cells not have nucleus?" Ryujin read the practice question aloud. " 'Cause this adaptation allows the red blood cell to carry more haemoglobin and therefore, more oxygen molecules. Duh." She wrote her answer while reading it aloud which is a cute habit of hers.

In no time, she completed her practice questions and stretched her arms. She glanced at the clock in Yuna's room and realised how late it was. Ryujin noticed that Yuna fell asleep while sitting on the floor while leaning on the side of her bed, so Ryujin flexed her arms before carrying Yuna bridal-style onto her bed.

Ryujin kneeled down and studied Yuna's facial features carefully. 'Woah.. she's really pretty up close.' She was about to leave when she felt a hand grabbing her arm.

"Ryujin.. don't leave.." Yuna mumbled, still half asleep. Ryujin was about to protest when she noticed how scared Yuna looks. "I don't like to sleep alone.."

Ryujin internally face palmed herself and debated whether to stay or not. Part of her doesn't want to stay with Yuna but another part of her felt a little sorry for her.

"Fine." Ryujin said emphasising on the 'F' sound. She then asked for a set clothes to wear to sleep, Yuna pointed to her closet and Ryujin went over to open it.

"Wha-" Inside of Yuna's closet were decent and fashionable clothes, but there was a transparent compartment when Yuna's undergarments were in. Some flashy and lacy ones caught Ryujin's eye and she tried to not look at them again. Thank God she found a plain shirt and shorts to wear to bed quickly.

Yuna noticed her coming towards the bed and smiled with her arms stretched outwards, beckoning Ryujin to sleep in her arms.

"Don't be gross." Ryujin gently pushed her hands away before sliding into the space beside her. She made sure to not face Yuna in case of any awkward eye contact that might lead to..that.

She tried to close her eyes and sleep but her eyes widened when she felt two arms snaking around her waist.

"Oh my God, stop that." Ryujin said without turning around.

Boom!

A crack of thunder followed by a low rumble echoed throughout the room. Ryujin heard a yelp and turned to check on Yuna. She lifted the covers to see Yuna, knees pressed close to her torso, shivering and shaking.

"Ryujin.. I'm scared of thunder." She looked at Ryujin with teary and pleading eyes. "Can I hug you? Please?"

Her 'please' sounded desperate.

A wave of emotions swept over Ryujin as she felt a little sympathetic for this scared girl. "Alright." She said gently.

Yuna then snaked her arms around Ryujin and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Ryujin on the other hand though, had a hard time trying to sleep. One reason is Yuna's scent is overwhelming her. Another reason is because Yuna's head is literally buried in Ryujin's chest, which Ryujin is slowly starting to get really erotic thoughts. However, being a lowkey (keyword: lowkey) pervert that she is, she secretly took a whiff of Yuna's scent. Cotton candy. Hmm Yuna must have used cotton candy body spray or something.

She scanned the room and it was kind of small, like a one room apartment. It was aesthetic, something that Yuna would like, and it was comfortable for one person. Ryujin suddenly felt guilty for getting Yuna fired, Yuna was trying to pay off her rent and her school course.

Hearing the pitter-patter of the rain against the window accompanied by Yuna's soft snores made Ryujin sleepy, and not long after, she fell asleep.

Ryujin woke up to the sound of sizzling and clanging of metals. She slowly opened her eyes and swept a clump of pink hair away from her face. Yuna was standing in front of the stove, with her blonde hair in a high ponytail, cooking.

"Oh hey! Did I wake you up?" She giggled.

"Uh..." Ryujin groaned, still not over the fact that her beauty sleep was ruined. "Where are my clothes?"

"I sent them down to the dry cleaners because they were dirty. You can borrow some of my clothes though." She turned off the stove and served the galbi and bean sprout rice in two plates and poured tteokguk (rice cake soup) into two small bowls.

"Before I forget," She walked over to her study table and picked up folded colourful jacket and handed it to Ryujin. "You left your jacket at the kbbq place so I took it home and washed it for you."

"O-oh thanks." Ryujin took it from Yuna and set it down on the bed. She then started to look for clothes to wear to school.

She is not the type to wear feminine clothes that Yuna wears like dresses, off-shoulder tops etc. Thus she had a hard time finding something comfortable for her to wear. However, she finally found a red striped top with a pair of jeans to wear.

Ryujin hurriedly ate the food that Yuna prepared for her and left for school.
