author's note
the character you "play" in this book is the cyber demon, a relatively new demon who's growing popularity and rising up the kill chart. you aren't a sadist, but you highly dislike other demons, and most of deaths by your hands are because they provoked or angered you.you're coy, sarcastic but sophisticated, and incredibly strong. you've always resorted to fear in first impressions to assert your authority and you play a .. "lone wolf" character.
your life is considerably meaningless, granted with power to kill and nothing more. so, once provided an opportunity to escape that meaningless reality of yours— you take it.
also, in this book, "demons can't fall in love" is a common saying in hell, often described as fact. it's a myth because "love" is rare in demons, but you'll soon find out that's not true. :)
hope this provides some context for the story. your character's personality can be confusing— apologies.
my dear cyber
(Name) strolled through the streets, eyes on the rough ground beneath her boots. Despite being well-known across Hell, being famous wasn't intentional. She just needed a little relief-- the scent of blood and sounds of agony brought her comfort. The people here were just incredibly aggravating, which was how her kill-count skyrocketed in the first place.
And, she just got lucky when she came across an isolated exterminator-- so killing it awarded her with a fantastic weapon. The only thing that could kill the citizens of hell; an exterminator's tool. It was a pistol, a pistol once held by an 'angel' sent to control the overpopulation here in Hell. An unlimited supply of skull-piercing bullets and heavenly gun powder; she really had hit the jackpot.
Adjusting her gloves, she reached a small bar that released the delightful scent of .. blood. Faint clashing and shouts could be heard, too. A bar fight, most likely. And for some odd reason, she felt intrigued. Like some entity was pulling her to check it out, and she fell for it.
Greeted with an even stronger aroma of blood and whiskey, sound even louder, no one even noticed her entrance. That was, until, the environment was replaced with glowing red binary text. Static and malfunction sounds drowned out all the screaming, until there was nothing in the room except the battling demons and a glowing red series of ones and zeroes.
(Name)'s eyes grew glitchy, filled with red binary as she broke out into a crazed grin. Everyone stared with fear, screaming and fleeing the glitching pub. All but one; all but a deer-demon in a red tuxedo. Alastor, the radio demon. A demon which (Name) admittedly had been wanting to meet since she heard the name.
Grinning as wide as ever, he tilted his head sideways with intrigue. "Cyber! Oh, what a pleasant surprise, it's a pleasure to meet you!" He smiled, flaunting his ever-sharp teeth. Alastor held out his hand, inviting a handshake.
(Name) walked to the barstool beside him, taking his hand and shaking it. She smiled, revealing sharp canines. "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Alastor," she greeted. Alastor watched as she returned to her own business, ordering a small cup of gin. The shaky bar-tender hurriedly poured her a cup, hiding behind the counter as the demons conversed.
Because right in front him, sat the radio demon and the cyber demon. Two demons, famous for their killing-streaks and the unimaginable power they harnessed.
This guy was different than what she pictured in her head. She imagined a mysterious and silent demon, devoid of emotion and with a killing, charming smile. Well, she got one thing right.
