More countries are able to earn coins for Paid Stories now.
Karin, a member of Wattpad Staff, made the following statement in "Update on Earning Coins for Paid Stories" on November 13th:
"Hey all!
As I hinted to earlier, we'll be rolling out the ability to earn Coins to more countries.
Starting today readers all readers in South Africa, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Hong Kong, Japan, Qatar, and South Korea will be able to earn Coins by watching video ads.
On November 5th we rolled this feature out to all readers in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. It's been exciting to see more readers engaging with Paid Stories and supporting writers.
We do have plans to continue expanding to more countries. Factors that we're taking into account before rolling out are the local legal regulations related to advertising, as well as the ad experience.
