"So what you gonna do when you get home,"
"Study papers from the victims,"Lexandra said.
Matsuda walked to his car to go home.
"Have a goodnight Matsuda,"Lexandra said.
"You too,"Matsuda said and waved goodbye.
Lexandra looked at the clock as Mr.Yagami walked up to Lexandra's desk.
"It's getting late and I have to go back to my family,lock up when your done,"Mr.Yagami said handing the keys to Lexandra.
"Yes sir,"Lexandra said as Mr.yagami walked out.
Watari seemed to be talking to someone. He stopped and walked over to Lexandra's desk.
"Hello,"Watari said.
"H-hello,"Lexandra said and stopped working.
"L would like to have a word with you,"He said as he opened the laptop.
"Why does he want to talk to me, I'm not that great,"Lexandra thought.
"Hello,Lexandra if I may call you that?"L said.
"You may,"Lexandra said trying to so casual and not freak out.l
"When the time comes I will be seeing you face to face,when this occurs I would like you to work alongside with me to help me with the Kira case, is this alright?"L questioned
"L wants me to work with him!"Lexandra thought.
"You can have time to think about it,"L said.
"Yes, I accept your offer but when will we meet face to face?"Lexandra said Stuttering.
"Soon but you should get some rest it's already two am and also tell no one about this,"L said.
"Yes sir,"Lexandra said.
"You can call me L,"He said.
Lexandra nodded and started packing her things to leave.
"See you soon Lexandra,"L said.
"See you later,"Lexandra said shyly.
Watari shut the laptop and walked towards the door and held it open for Lexandra.
Lexandra walked through and walked to the other exit as Watari followed.
She then locked up the place and waved goodbye.
Lexandra got in her car and drove off back to her house.when she got there it was almost four.she sighed and got in pajamas.she laid in bed wondering about everything that had happened and what is to occur.
Why her, what's so special and her. She just some cop that asks a lot of questions, she thought about meeting L. What he looked like. She bet he was good looking suit and tie type of guy. She yawned and her vision slowly faded. She slowly fell asleep sprawled on her bed.
She woke up again at eight.she got ready and made cereal again. She sat down on the couch and saw that two more people had died of heart attacks. She got ready for work.
Her cat was asleep on her bed and softly patted its head. As she walked out to her car. She thought about L again.She drove to work thinking about him.When she got there 15 more people had died.
"Wait its school hours now,"she thought.
Everyone was talking about how it couldn't be a student.Lexandra handed Mr.Yagami the set of keys.she seen watari in the back.
"Your all missing the point,"L said.
Seeing the laptop with the giant L on again made Lexandra wonder if L's actual name even starts with an L
"This isn't the message he is trying to send, I believe that not only can Kira kill from a distance but he can kill at any time,"L said.
"He is Deliberately trying to let you know this then. This can't be a coincidence this means that he probably has access to police files now,"Lexandra said.
"Yes,so the possibility of him being a student is relevant,"L said.
"Are you going to just believe whatever this woman says!"A random cop says.
"Well she is putting more work In than you are so, yes,"L said.
Lexandra's mouth dropped open. Did she hear that right.
Some cops started glaring at Lexandra. Then one cop took it too far after the meeting Lexandra walked through the hallway.
"You know you were better at making coffee and keeping your mouth shut,"He said.
"That might be, but your better at getting money for things you don't work for and being a sexist jerk,"Lexandra said.
Lexandra walked away as cops just stared at her.
When it was time to leave Lexandra packed her things and left without waving goodbye to anyone.
She turned on the radio and went home.
"She is pretty mad,huh?"Matsuda said
"Indeed,"Mr.Yagami said figuring he would have a word with some for them eventually.
The next day Lexandra didn't watch TV she just got up and left for work.
She was gonna do her best to get this done and no one's gonna stop her.
She got to work and studied the papers looking for any connections and clues or mistakes.
All of sudden cops she never really never talked to quit, saying they didn't want to die, saying that Kira was gonna kill off all of us.
Lexandra rolled her eyes and started working again.
Then they started talking about how L has never had to show his face.
"These people don't realize were cops and have a chance of dying everyday anyway Kira or no Kira we protect the people,"Lexandra thought.
They walked out as Mr.Yagami demanded they sat back down.
Lexandra kept working as Watari walked out of the room.
"Wonder where he is going,"Lexandra thought.
Lexandra worked until it was time for her to go home. She walked to her car has she seen watari come back she waved to him.
She got back home and passed out on the couch again when she woke up she saw it was an hour earlier then she usually wakes up. She then watched the news and seen 55 more criminals had died.
"We have to stop this soon, to many people are dying,"Lexandra said.
Lexandra played with kenny until it was time to leave, she left early and got cookies and gas for her car. She drove into the station.
She had her briefcase in one had and cookies in the other. She walked in as she heard Mr.Yagami talking about inmates dying.
"Bizarre behavior, could you be a little more specific,"Mr.Yagami said.
Lexandra's ears perked up.she listened closely.
One drew a pentagram with there own blood, the other ran into the bathroom and the other wrote a strange note, then had a heart attack.
"We can't let this out into the public, only that they had a heart attack,"L said.
Lexandra looked at the laptop still wondering when she would meet him.
Then Mr.Yagami got called about yet another criminal, he was hallucinating then ran out of the bus into traffic.
Lexandra started studying the papers.Later that night there was a suicide note.
"Gods of death.L, do you know gods of death,"Lexandra read
"What a strange note,"L said.
Lexandra was headed to her car and thinking of that strange note,but what did it mean?
"Lexandra!"Matsuda yelled running after her.
Lexandra Looked around thinking something bad was gonna happen like she was about to have a heart attack or a bus was gonna hit her.
"L had us being watched by the FBI but now the FBI are dead and Mr.yagami is really upset,"Matsuda said.
Lexandra walked back towards the station.
"It's better safe than sorry Matsuda,"Lexandra said.
"Wait you don't trust us,"Matsuda said.
"No but from his perspective its different and I although I trust you and some other good cops, I don't trust everyone in there,"Lexandra said.
"Oh,"Matsuda said.
When they walked in everyone was saying twelve FBI agents were killed and how L was spying on us.
"I knew we shouldn't have trusted him,"A random cop said.
There's also a new note.
Lexandra looked on her computer as she read.
"L do you know Gods Of Death love apples,"Lexandra punched her desk.
"That murderer is toying with us,"Lexandra shouted.
Everyone stayed silent even L.
Lexandra sighed and walked out going back home.All night she couldn't stop thinking about Kira and the notes they left. How could someone kill so easily and mess with the minds of others knowingly.she passed out in her bed as kenny curled in a ball beside her.
She got up for yet another day and then went to work. Mr.Yagami was giving a speech about Kira and if you want to leave the investigation you could.
"There was no way I'm quitting, after everything I worked for,"Lexandra thought to herself in disbelief.
Later six people came back, well seven including Mr.Yagami.
"The fact that you are willing to stay is that you have a strong sense of justice, I trust all of you,"L said.
All of a sudden they all jumped on him saying they wanted to see him.
"The thought had already crossed my mind, actually I already talked about meeting one of you,"L said.
Watari turned the computer around showing an address.
Lexandra got dizzy. Was she about to meet L.
They all stood outside the police station.
"Maybe he took out the people who didn't trust L on purpose,"Lexandra thought.
Then they all walked through a hotel.They were about to meet L.No one has ever met L.
Lexandra's heart skipped a beat as he said in a deep tone.
"Its unlocked, you can come in,"L said.
The door clicked open as she took a deep breath.
Mr.Yagami opened the door. There he was. He stood there scratching one of his legs with his foot.He had raven black hair with dark bangs under his eyes. He also wore a white shirt and blue jeans. His hair was frizzled and spiked up everywhere.
Mr.Yagami started introducing himself as everyone pulled out there badges an introduced there self nervously.
Lexandra pulled out her badge and dropped it and but quickly caught it.
L slowly put up his hand at Lexandra.
"Bang!"He said.
Lexandra raised an eyebrow as everyone gave confused looks.
"What was that?"Matsuda said.
"If I were Kira you would be Dead Lexandra Begley,"L said.
Everyone gasped.
Lexandra almost lost it but something that she had to say.
"Well yes, but I'm sure that Kira doesn't use a gun to make criminals have heart attacks L,"Lexandra said.
"You have a point but we technically don't know what he does use to kill"L let a small smile slip for a second.
"Also please don't give out your name so carelessly,"L said turning his head to everyone else.
Matsuda and Mr.Yagami started whispering to each other.
"That's enough small talk now please come this way, please turn off your cellphones or any communications devices and leave them on the table right there,"L said.
Lexandra was the first to turn off her phone and put it on the table. As all of the others started complaining.
Lexandra had heard enough of whining though and finally snapped.
"Ladies,ladies, listen people are dying by the hour so please quit whining and put your phone on the table it's not gonna disappear,"Lexandra said.
Everyone else groaned but listened to her and put there phones on the table.
"Its makes me think he doesn't trust us,"Matsuda said.
"No, I just find them distracting and I can't stand when they go off when I'm trying to talk,"L said.
Lexandra smiled.
L then climbed in his chair as he sat on his feet and had his knees In the air.
"Let me start by saying no one takes notes during these meetings any information we need is committed to memory,"L said.
Everyone looked at him weirdly for sitting like that but Lexandra thought it was unique.
"Wow this is exactly how I thought L would be, unique mind and unique person,"lexandra thought as she smiled."Not as much as looks though but he is kinda cute in an odd way,"Lexandra thought.
"Please make yourself comfortable,"L said. Everyone walked over sitting properly as L poured tea and put about thirty sugars in it. This made Lexandra want sugar.
"Excuse me L,"Matsuda said.
"I'm gonna have to ask to stop calling me L now, its ryuzaki it's another Alias I have,"Ryuzaki said.
"Um ok Ryusaki, so Kira needs a face and a name to kill, couldn't we just cut their names from the news,"Matsuda said.
"Then we would be putting the general public at risk,"Ryusaki said.
"What why,"Aizawa questioned.
"Kira is childish and hates losing,well I'm also childish and hate losing,"Ryusaki said.
"Kira has met everyone of your challenges head on and never missed a chance to return the favor,"Lexandra said.
"Exactly,so what do you think would happen if we were to hide media information from someone like that,"Rysaki said.
The room went silent until Matsuda started to say something then Ryusaki interrupted him
"If you choose you choose to hold the names of your worst criminals,I'll kill petty criminals or the innocent, I'm holding the world hostage! so who's it gonna be,"Ryusaki said.
"Ok how about something like this,death of FBI agents infuriates the us latest killings anger national police community, nations agree to send eleven hundred investigators to japan,"Lexandra said.
The crew looked at her shocked.
"How do you,"Aizawa tried to say as Ryusaki interrupted.
"Yes, for Kira this would be more than he has ever faced,"Ryusaki said.
"He will start to feel cornered and break under pressure and might make a mistake,"Lexandra said.
"Lexandra that's perfect, your a genius,"Matsuda said.
"It just might work"Ukita said.
"Wait is Lexandra the one you already talked about meeting up with?"Mogi asked.
"Yes, she was, she was working overtime and I saw potential in her,"Ryusaki said.
"Kira works alone, he had access to police information, we know he needs a name and a face to kill and to some extent he can control their time of death and actions before dying,"Ryusaki said and paused .
The air in the room got dense as he looked at everyone.Lexandra seemed to be completely engulfed in what Ryusaki had to say.
Rysusaki Pulled out tons files.
"These are from the FBI they contain information you might find you useful but they do not leave this room,"Ryusaki said.
Everyone started talking about the files as Lexandra zoned out everyone else.she had a file of Ray Pember. His file seemed interesting.
"He died in a train station, so there must be some kinda footage,"Lexandra thought.
"So any questions,"Ryusaki asked.
"Yes,um since you showed us your face and FBI agents have died does this mean you lost?"Matsuda questioned.
"Yes I have lost the fight but I will not lose the war,this is the first time I put my life on the line, I wanna show Kira we will risk our lives if that's what it takes"Ryusaki said.
Then Ryusaki smiled a real smile and Lexandra felt butterflies.
"Wait I cant have a crush on this guy,there is no way he would even let anyone date him, it would get in the way of work,am I really even thinking about this!?"Lexandra thought.
Everyone smiled.
"Yeah, we can do this,"Matsuda said.
"Whatever it takes,"Aizawa said.
"I need to speak to all of you to make sure none of you are Kira before you leave,"Ryusaki said.
They all nodded. An hour later everyone besides Lexandra and Matsuda had left.Matsuda was in a room with Ryusaki. Lexandra got nervous, thinking about Ryusaki.Now that she knew she had a crush on him made it even worse.
"What if I say something stupid or say something and he senses that I like him,"Lexandra thought.
Matsuda walked out and gave Lexandra a thumbs up for good luck.
She sighed and walked into the room.she saw a clock on the walk the said twelve twenty six.
"Alright, Lexandra you may sit down if you like and please shut the door,"Ryusaki said.
"Alright,"Lexandra said she shut the door and sat down across Ryusaki.
"Do you remember the first time you and I spoke to each other,"Ryusaki said.
"Yes,I was talking about how Kira could have been a student and you agreed but only called it an assumption"Lexandra said
"You have quite a good memory,"Ryusaki said.
"What do you think of Kira,"Ryusaki Questioned.
"At first I didn't see him as anything but someone who had a sense of justice but now since they have killed so many people that are not just criminals I see them as a threat to us all and a murderer with a quick fuse,running around like lives are something you can take away so easily without consequences,"Lexandra said.
"So me and you have the same point of view,"Ryusaki said.
"Do you know why I picked you out of all of them to be my main assistant,"Ryusaki asked.
"You said you saw potential in me,"Lexandra said as her face got a little red.
"Yes, and I also think with time you can be a detective yourself, you could be of great help to me in the future but of course this means we would be partners,"Ryusaki said.
"R-really?"Lexandra said.
Ryusaki smiled a little and got up from his chair.
"Come with me,"Ryusaki said as Lexandra got up almost tripping on her chair.
Ryusaki laughed at her quietly.
"Out of all the people in the task force she is the only one who does what I say with no question,she must trust me or is just extremely gullible,"Ryusaki thought.
Lexandra and Ryuzaki walked into the living room again as Ryusaki stopped.
"Lexandra do you trust me,"Ryusaki said.
