It's been two weeks since I started dating Becca
And the best two weeks of my horrible life ,she's as sweet as a honey come and that's why I am gonna give her a promise ring ,I know it seems like we're moving too fast but there's just this connection that I have with her that I've never felt before .
Walking up to her door step I ring the door bell ,her cousin John I think ,we don't really talk I guess because my brother doesn't like me he doesn't either.
"Is Becca home ?" I asked giving him a smile polite smile
" Upstairs " he said and shrugged
He walked off and left the door open for me to enter ,and so I did .
I knocked on Becca's door twice
"Listen James I don't -"
She stops talking when she realizes it me at the door
"Uh hey... "
" so are you ready dove ? "
"Almost "
"Gimme five minutes , come on in you can just sit on the bed , I'm gonna go put on some lip balm .
She says as she grabs her glasses
One more reason to like her more , she doesn't wear makeup or tight dresses or dresses overall . I love how she wears her hair in a messy bun everyday and her big t-shirts and pants .
She's one the most friendly and nice person I have ever met like yesterday when she helped the old lady cross the road .
And when she saw the poor boy and have him her lunch even though she was starving.
She walks last me towards the door .
" yo lover boy you coming "
"Yeah " I shout back a reply as she was already out the door
I was about to follow her and make my way down stairs when I saw Maddie .
She looked like she was fuming and came here for release ,
Laughing at her state I hurry down stairs while making sure I had the ring .
"Took you long enough ,did you build the stairs ?"
"Probably, if it's to build one for you yes " I say with a chuckle
With that I got in the car and started driving .
About half an hour into the drive Becca decides to break the silence .
"You know ,I never knew who my father was ?"
" neither did I until I came here . "
"My mom told me he died a few months before I was born ,she said he was the best person she ever met .He was kind and loving she says I look a lot like him,I think I do too , I literally look nothing like my mom . she says with a sad sigh , probably remembering her mother's death .
I reached over and rubbed her back " if you get all emotional on me Imma put you in the trunk and drive . " I say jokingly
She raises her head
"You wouldn't even try ,now both hands on the wheel not one ."
She scolds
I laugh and put my other hand on the steering wheel .
I drove for another forty-five minutes until I came to a small pathway ,I stop the car .
I look to my left to see that Becca had fallen asleep . I stepped out from the driver seat and headed over to the passenger side and opened the door .
I gently shook her to wake her up . "Wake up it's time to go we're here .
She shook her head and sat up and started to put on her shoes .
After she was done I lead her towards the clearing where I had a small picnic set up .
I sat her down on the picnic blanket .
" Isn't this where we had our first date ? "
"Maybe , maybe not " I say with a small shrug
Shall we eat M'lady

I watched as she finished up her sandwich as if she felt my eyes boring into her soul .
"What ?" She asks with a laugh
" Nothing " I say whilst standing up
I reached for the speaker I hid in the picnic basket and pressed the play button .
I turned to Becca and did a small bow ,held out my hand may I have the honour of this dance.
With a laugh and a small "yes" she took my hand and pulled herself up .
With that we are dancing like no one else exists .
Becca started getting tired so I told her to get ready to leave .
She turned to walk away and I took this as a chance and pulled the box from my pocket .
"Ahem"
"Babe turn around ." I said as I got on one knew
She turned around when she saw me she stepped back and gasped then started "You know we're too young for this righ -"
" I know ,but I'm not proposing ,it's a promise ring . "
"Now if you don't mind I would like to give my girlfriend a ring .She laughed as held out her hand for me to slide the ring on
After all that we headed home .
