Chapter eighteen.

Le and Tania ran as fast as their legs could carry them... Well more like Le was flying in full speed as well as the Dracula as she ran.

The monstrous half lion, half scorpion  was right on their tail.. Letting out a serious powerful roar.

Goodness knows why the others haven't awaken yet... But its best if they don't.

Suddenly it started shooting spikes at them..

They dodged.. For safety.

"What in the name of creatures is that thing?! I have never seen anything like this!! " Le exclaimed as he dodged it's spike attacks.

"That thing in a Manticore!!! I didn't know much about it but stay clear off its tail and spikes!!! "

She dodges the attack of its tail once  again.

"The tail contains toxic and painful paralyses and the spikes from it finishes the job.. LE LOOK OUT!! "

The creature leaps at the half griffin but he moves just in time.

"Anyway to get rid of it...? "

Tania began to think.. She could easily use her millennium magic to finish it off.... But that means giving poor Draco extra work and the poor chibi dragon had barely gotten any rest yet!

Then it hit her!!! Fight fire with fire!! Use its own poison to take it out.

"Le! I have an idea.. It maybe crazy but it will be worth it!!! ""

The two hid behind a tree.

"So what's the idea? "

"We have to use its own tail on it.. Its the only to finish it off..... But the problem is... How do we do it? "

Le smirked... "Le it to me Tania... I know just what to do. "

"Please be careful.. And target the middle of its back.... For some or most mystical creatures, the back is most times their weak spot. "

"Got it! "

The humanoid griffin charged to the air once again, this time flying around in crazy circles, causing the gigantic half lion, half scorpion to go crazy as well.

What made it more annoyed was when Le let out mocking laughs and comments.

"Come on! Is that what you got?! My grandma can swap flies faster than you and your a giant!! "

Tania silently coughed her laughs.

That's really gotta sting.

(Ha haha get it? Sting.....?.... No?.... Okay worst joke ever. 😒).

Suddenly a harsh scream brought her out of her world!! The frequency was so strong it blew Tania off her feet!!! She managed to take hold of the tree beside her which too was trying to prevent from being uprooted.

Then a heavy earthquake was felt.. Tania gasped then quickly got on safe grounds before anything bad got out of hand.

Soon... It stopped.... What the huh? She got down to see a dead Manticore in front of her.

She sweat dropped.... She wasn't expecting a shaking finish like that... But look at the bright side!!!

Le flew down smiling with pride.

"Le! You did it!! I wasn't paying attention but you did it!! "

She gave him a hug which he returned.

"Thanks.. It wasn't easy though, trying to avoid being stung or pierced.. And I doubt Bakura will be happy about this. "

She scoffed. "So what... It was him who brought up this.. He deserves the loose of his precious pets. Besides that was the fastest take out I have ever seen. It took us a while to take down our first monster. "
