Act. 6 - A Present of Lament

Sakura and Nanami looked at one another in confusion. Time for them went by quickly but they knew that for the others, time was torturing them. They knew the realization would fall onto them too but for now, they remained confused. Nanami's eyes continued to furrow together as she eyed Asana from the corner. The two whispered as they planned out what they needed to do because plainly, there was nothing they could do. She hadn't placed a bar in front of them, it wasn't as if she no longer allowed them to meddle with her plans. But, there was one thing they noticed.

"She looks... sad." Sakura whispered to Nanami who nodded.

"I'm not sure what happened but everyone has their own time limit. Our own family may be wondering where we've run off to. We have no time to dawdle." Nanami sat up as she continued to watch Asana.

Aone leaned to Itose, "Shouldn't we get our weapons?"

"Ya think she's gonna give it?"

Yuzuki watched the others with a sigh, "Kimi..."

Kimi looked at her with a smile, "I don't know where we go when we disappear... Maybe we cease to exist... Maybe we die..."

"Kimi..." Yuzuki looked stern as the others looked at Kimi.

"The others have disappeared and they're relying on us. Relying on you. At the end of the days, you who lead us most protect us again. We need to find our own strengths but the fear of us disappearing overwhelms us."

"Surely there is a way to defeat her, right?" Yuzuki asked at Nanami longingly.

"Maybe there is, like all of us guardians, we have our own weaknesses. Hers may be something else."

Asana didn't want to listen to their conversation. She walked solemnly around the room as the others looked at her helplessly.

"Whatever she wants to do, she can't do it anymore." Itose adjusted herself on the floor, "We need our weapons."

"It's not like we can go steal it!" Aone sighed.

"Well why not, they're our weapons!" Itose sulked.

"Yeah but she's the keeper of time! We can't go frolicking when all she can do is set time backwards!"

"Set time backwards..." Nanami muttered, "Then why hasn't she?"

"Huh?" Shirana looked up at Nanami as she had patted Flake to sleep, "What do you mean?"

"Sakura and I returned, she needed our nacharms but yet, she didn't do anything about it. She gave up."

"Asana!" Sakura yelled out to no avail.

"Asana!" Itose continued.

Yuzuki raised an eyebrow at the two who were trying to catch her attention, "Asana Koujou."

Turning around, Asana looked at the three girls watching her, "3..."

"3?" Itose scratched her head.

"2."

"2?" Shirana turned to Kimi who was disappearing, "Kimi!"

"1."

Yuzuki looked down, a feeling of guilt and overwhelming anger filled her. "Asana Koujou!"

Asana looked, "7 down... a few more to go..."

"What's your deal anyway!?" Itose glared, "You can't do anything anymore!"

"No... But even if I can't do what I wished to do... I have other options to end... the life I live."

"The life... you live?" Sakura looked at her, "what do you mean?"

"That is not something mere kids will know."
