"Hey Mimiko, who do you thing would win in a fight, brother or Mr. Zelman?" You, Mimiko, and Kartaro were sitting at a small diner eating lunch. Jiro decided to stay behind since it was daylight out. Even though it was cloudy.
"W-well, that's hard to say... Jiro is really strong and so is Zelman..." Mimiko trailed off. She didn't seem to know what to say, or perhaps she didn't want to say what she was thinking.
You had moved to the special zone about a month ago, and since your arrival you've become fast friends with Mimiko. Mimiko had been the person who invited you into the special zone. She showed you around and helped you to get settled in your new surroundings. Afterward you met her friends, Jiro and Kataro. You had met them a few years before and were pleasantly surprised seeing them here.
"Who do you think would win, (Y/N)?" Kataro asked you. His big blue eyes stared at you expectantly. The child had taken a particular liking to you. He hung on every word you said. He even calls you "big sis" at times.
"Jiro is strong, but if I can beat him in a fight then I'm sure Zelman Clock could beat him as well." You say. Kataro looked sad at the thought of his brother losing a fight, but then he cheered up and began to laugh.
"What! You fought Jiro?" Mimiko shrieked.
"It wasn't long after we first met (Y/N). Jiro said something that pushed (Y/N)'s buttons and they ended up fighting." Kataro continued to laugh at the memory of the battle. You had made a fool out of Jiro in that fight. "She beat brother in less than 5 minutes!" Kataro continued. Mimiko looked wide eyed at you, then she glaces behind where you and her sat next to each other in the booth. An expression of shock overcomes her face. Kataro's laughter stops, but his smile never leaves his face.
"Hello, Mr. Zelman." Kataro greets. "Would you like to join us?" Kataro scoots over and pats the seat next to him.
"Hello, Kataro. I didn't expect to see you here." Before you know it, red eyed Zelman was sitting directly in front of you. He looked just like the rumors said. Red hair and bright red eyes. He wore a track suite and a sly smile as he looked at you. You couldn't argue that you were attracted to him, and it seemed like Zelman didn't mind your appearance either. The red haired vampires eyes slowly looked you over. You couldn't help but do the same until Kataro suddenly gasped and looked like he had just thought of something genius.
"Mimiko! Who do you think would win in a fight, Mr. Zelman or (Y/N)?" Your eyes widened at what Kataro just asked. You were a skilled old blood from a powerful bloodline. But you didn't have even half the experience that Zelman did. You were just a few decades older than Jiro.
"U-umm..." Mimiko looked nervous again. She looked as if she wouldn't mind if the floor suddenly swallowed her whole. Zelman on the other hand let out a laugh, drawing the attention of everyone at the table.
"Well come on compromiser. I'm interested in hearing what you have to say." The 800 year old vampire spoke. He wasn't what you thought he would be like. He wasn't threatening the human next to you, but he was actually interested in her opinion. Perhaps he was curious if she thought you could best him in a fight. No that wasn't it. You could tell it in his eyes. He was confident that he would win. He sized you up the moment that he sat down.
"Yeah come on Mimiko, who do you think?" Kataro cheered. Mimiko still looked at a lose for words. She just kept looking at you and then Zelman.
"Who do you think would win, Kataro?" You ask. Momentarily getting the attention off of Mimiko. You could see her slightly relax as both your gaze and Zelman's gaze rested on Kataro. The young vampire seemed to think for a while.
"I'm not sure. Both of you are really strong." The blond vampire spoke. His brows were scrunched up as he continued to think. The red eyed prince only smiled at the vampire boy.
"Mr. Zelman is a lot older than sis," Kataro begins his thought process aloud. "So he would have the upper hand when it came to experience. Then again, (Y/N) can control and call upon water. So, that would give (Y/N) an advantage." At the mention of your powers Mimiko looked over at you. She had heard the rumors, but wasn't sure if she should believe them.
"So, you really can control water?" She asked. You smiled at her and nodded.
"The sea queen, (Y/N)." Zelman says looking at you as if he knew who you were before he even sat down. And who knows, maybe he did.
"I'm honored that the red eyed prince knows of me." You say as you give a coy smile to the man in front of you. You would have been lying to yourself if you said that you never thought about what the outcome would be if the two of you ever went toe to toe. Fire vs water. Old vs young. Man vs woman. Vampire vs vampire.
Because of the experience difference, you were sure that Zelman would be more likely to win. Although, you were certain that you could give him a run for his money. You were young by vampire standards, but you were not to be taken lightly. Those who underestimated you in a fight always came out dead.
"The whispers haven't stopped since you've arrived here in the special zone Missy." He replies.
"Whispers?" Zelman was amused at your response. You actually had no idea that people were talking about you.
"Some people believe that you were brought into the special zone as a precaution." He began to explain. Everyone at the table listened intently. "Should I ever cause to much of a ruckus, it is said that you and the silver blade would be the ones responsible for taking me down." He leans back in his seat and props his arms up on the pale booth seat. He didn't seem worried about the possible threat though. This was the first time you had heard this. Though it might make since, that doesn't mean that was the intention. You had no desire to go around picking fights. Though sparing matches and fighting for those you cared about is something else entirely.
"Woah. The sea queen (Y/N) and the Silver blade vs the red eyed prince." Kataro says. "Now that would be a fight worth watching!" Kataro seemed excited at the possibility.
"Do you think you could win against both big sis and brother, Mr. Zelman?" Kataro wondered. Zelman looked straight at you when he spoke, a look of confidence and amusement.
"Yes." Was all he said. You smirked as you looked straight back at him. He may have put up a good front, but you knew better. Sure, Zelman could win. But it was also extremely possible that he wouldn't. You and Jiro make a deadly duo against anyone.
"You're quite confident in yourself." You say. You rested your cheek in your hand that you had propped up on the table. The smirk you wore never faltered. Zelman's amused gaze never left you.
"Oh wow look at the time, isn't time for your meeting with Lord Dragon, (Y/N)?" Mimiko interrupted. You assumed that she was worried a fight would break out if you and Zelman kept taunting each other.
"Yes it is. Perhaps I'll find out if there is anything to those whispers you've hear, Zelman." You saw that the red eyed prince's smirk grew even bigger. You had purposely left out the Lord title that you arguably should have addressed him with. You just wanted to prove that he didn't intimidate you as much as he probably thought he did. You stood up to leave.
"Hey sis, I never asked you. Do you think you would win in a fight against Mr. Zelman?" Kataro asked. He was quite obsessive with these hypothetical fights as of recent.
You pulled your (F/C) jacket on. You seen a pair of dark eyes, blue eyes, and finally a pair of red eyes staring directly at you. It seemed as if the red eyes were peering into your mind, maybe even your soul itself.
"It's hard to say, just keep in mind Kataro that people call Zelman a prince, but they call me a queen." And with that said you tossed a sly grin to the red eyed prince and walked out with your head held high.
So this one didn't have like any romance or anything in it, I'm thinking about doing a part two to this because of the lack of romance and communication between you and Zelman. Let me know if anyone wants a part two to this! 💖
