She's Gone Now

Chapter 1

"Hey Kiley. Can you come over tonight?" Allie asked her best friend as they were walking into their first period class.

"Let me text my mom. I'm sure she'll say yes." Kiley answered.

"Don't you just hate school so much? Like it's not even fun coming here." Allie said as they sat down side by side.
"I mean, we don't even use half the stuff we learn."

"True that. It's annoying. We have to get up early and spend 1/3 of our life at school." Kiley said before the bell rang.

"Hi. I'm Mrs.Munson. I'm going to be subbing for Ms.Brown. She's going to be out for a few days, so I'll be here. Make sure you do as you're told, and we will all be good." The substitute teacher with short blonde hair said. She had on flip-flops and capris, as well as a blue shirt and a denim jacket.

The class door opened as the principle, Mr.Stanley walked in and a brunette wearing shorts, converse, and a band tee followed Mr.Stanley.

"Hello students, meet you new classmate, Carmen." Mr.Stanley said as Carmen walked to the empty seat beside Kiley.
"Back to class students." Mr.Stanley said before walking out and closing the door.

Kiley's phone went off.
Mrs.Munson gave Kiley a look.
"Sorry, it's my mom, my aunt just got diagnosed with cancer." Kiley convincingly said.

"Nice cover up", Allie whispered to Kiley.

The bell rang, letting the students know class was over.
"I'll see you at lunch." Allie said her and Kiley walked out of the door.
"Kay, bye!" Kiley replied loudly as she started walking to her next class.

Allie went to her locker before lunch to grab her bagged lunch from home which included Arizona tea, an assortment of vegetables, sliced apples, and a slice of her homemade healthy pizza.
She spotted Kiley and walked over to their usual lunch table.
She noticed the new girl, Carmen was sitting with her.

"Hey Allie, you know Carmen. We have quite a few classes together. She's really cool." Kiley told Allie as she sat down.

"Hey Carmen, I'm Allie. Welcome to the school. Oh and I love your shirt, L.A. Love by Fergie is legit." Allie said kindly to Carmen.

"Hi. I don't like this school as much as my old one but I-wooooaaahhhh. Who's that guy?" Carmen looked over to a boy.

"That guy is Hayes Grier. Aka the hottest boy in the school. He plays football and his brother is a famous youtuber and viner. But he's off limits, trust me." Kiley explained.

"Why is he off limits exactly?" Carmen asked.

"He's crushing on Allie, my boyfriend Matt, who is friends with Hayes told me. Allie is crushing on him too, but neither of them have the guts to say anything." Kiley rolled her eyes.

"Allie, if you don't go and talk to him, I will." Carmen said looking at Allie.

"Fine, I'll go talk to him" Allie hesitated.
