My alarm goes off. I honestly don't wanna get up. I have to get to school. And, we have a new student. And since I'm "Ms.Goody-Two-Shoes" I have to show them around. I still live with my mother. Well, obviously. I'm in high school. If I don't get up soon my mom will come in here. Either with a cup of water to pour on me...or pans to bang together. Fine. I'll get up. Hi. I'm Meranda. And this...Is my story.
I swear. It's like my mom has a camera that knows if I'm up. Cause if I'm up she doesn't come in here. Now....where is my uniform? Hmm...... Oh! There it is. I put my uniform on. I go to walk to the bathroom and hear my phone ding. "Oh. It's Ava." Ava is my best friend. She's been with me ever since primary school. But......she can wait. I walk to the bathroom and grab my makeup bag. I sit it in the sink and grab my mascara. I start to put my mascara on when my mom barges through the bathroom door. I jump and poke my eye with the mascara brush. "Ow mom. What do you want??" "Uh....oh. Sorry. I thought you died." My mom is really stupid. So...Bear with me. "Why would you think that ma-?" "You didn't tell me good morning." You know what.? "Mom get out." My mom walks out of the bathroom closing the door. Finally. My eye really hurts though. I finish putting my mascara on. And brush my teeth. "Mom?? Do you know where my glasses are??" She probably doesn't. But eh. I don't care anymore. "Nope. Just wear your contacts." I hate contacts. They burn. "Okay. Fine." I start to quietly hum while I look for my contacts. My mother says I sing like a angel. But I think I should like I'm dying. "Sweetie are you walking to school?" Oh. Forgot to mention....my school is like two blocks away from me. Well that's not true. It's a little farther than that. "Uh. Yea ma." My mom will just not talk sometimes if I answer her with a answer she doesn't like. I walk to the kitchen and put my shoes on. "Here sweetie. I don't have anything else to give you so....Have some toast." "It's fine mom. Cya." I walk out the door and get hit with hot air. "Ahh summer." I love nature so much.
Once I get to school I realize I left my phone at home. My friend Ava is waiting for me in the hallway by my locker. "Hey Ava." She didn't respond. She looked a little upset. "Ava. Are you okay?" I look at her. Then reach in my back-pack and grab a lolipop. "Here Ava. I know these are your favorite." Her face lights up as she takes the loli. "Did you read my text?" She even sounds upset. Her voice is as if she were to break into tears at any moment. "Oh...no. I was a little busy..." I smash my back-pack in my locker. Then shut it and put my lock back on it. Holding my books I look back at Ava. "Akaira broke up with me this morning." She looked down as she said that. She NEVER looks down. Her head is always up. "Hey....It's okay...I understand how much she ment but there was probably a reason." I give her a hug as the principal calls over the intercom. "Meranda Martenez come to my office." Everyone else in the hall kinda just stared at me. I don't like when people stare. It's rude. "I gotta go Ava." I walk away as fast as possible so I could get away from the staring. I herd the principal talking to someone. So....I decided to eavesdrop. All I could hear was "You need to teach your son control sir." I think it was the principal talking. What did that mean? Control? Hmm. I finally knock on the door. "Come in." I slowly open the door and walk in. "Good morning sir." I tried to sound as polite as possible. But the kid kinda looked at me. He looked like the "typical bad boy". To be honest. I was a little frightened. And the boy knew it. He was wearing his uniform wrong. "I-I'm guessing this is the new student? Haha......." I'm getting bad vibes from this kid. "Yes. It is. Introduce yourself sir." I look over at him. He's looking at the ground. Finally he says "Kai." "I like that. My name is Meranda." Is he gonna look at me...? He suddenly looks up and stares at me. This is rude. Though the principal breaks the silence with "okay. Meranda. Will you show Kai around?" I look up at the principal. "Oh. Yea." I starts walking to the door and realize Kai isn't following me. "Kai? You coming?" He starts walking towards me. He could have answered me.
