I feel a little light headed. I wish Kai didn't leave. I'm scared. I wanna cry. I want Kai. Though I can kinda remember what happened after I passed out. It's a little fuzzy though. I remember seeing his dad come up. Made sure he was okay. And then he walked to me. Kai picked me up. And we went to a car. I don't remember the drive. But I remember that when we got here Kai was freaking out. He was mad. But he was also scared. I remember not being that far down the hall and saw some doctors taking him to make sure he was okay. He didn't want to go. But they said something to him and he calmed down. I should probably ask him when he gets back. But I really wanna close my eyes...... Kai told me to keep my eyes open. But I can't. The room is spinning...I hope I won't regret this...I close my eyes. But I remember....The first time I met Kai...he wouldn't look me in the face. But I don't think I wanted to look him in the face after he bit me. Its funny. I'm pretty sure I'm asleep. But I can still think.
I get woken up by Kai. He was freaking out. I touch my neck. I look down at the tube. I still need to use sign language. "I want to leave. I want to be able to speak again." He looks so sad. "What's your problem with hospitals?" I look away. I don't wanna answer that question. "Just tell me. I ask you questions for reasons. And you decide to not answer them." I look at Kai again. "When I was little I used to always be in the hospital. They said something was wrong. I don't remember what though. I just remember always being away from my mom. And one of the doctors almost killed me cause the didn't do the thing right." Kai holds my hand. "It's okay. These are different doctors. Humans aren't actually supposed to be here. You are different though. Since you live with me I can bring you here." A nurse comes in. She walks to the bed I'm in. "Are are you feeling?" Hmm. I don't even know anymore. "I'm okay." She looks at Kai. "She said she was okay." The nurse looks back up at me. "The venom should be drained soon. It's been draining for like 6 hours now. After that you may go home." I nod. Because she obviously didn't know sign either. I tap Kai. "I wanna sleep. I'm so tired." Kai looks me in the eyes. "Okay. Fine. I'll be right here." I close my eyes again.
About 3 hours later I wake up. I see Kai's father standing beside me. I sit up and look down at the tube. The Venom was still draining. How much did Kai put in? Kai was asleep in a chair in the corner. "When will I be able to talk again?" Kai's father seemed to understand what I was saying. "Once the bite stops bleeding." He'd be the one to know. I mean. He is the vampire. "Is the venom almost done draining?" He looks at the tube. "It would be done soon. But you realize that Kai has to really like you to do that? Most of the time he wouldn't care." Is that true? I mean...he seems like a careless person. A nurse comes in. She's holding....something......I'm not sure what though. Kai wakes up from the door opening. The nurse walks to the bed as Kai's father steps back. She opens the packet she has in her hand. It has a needle in it. I scoot back. I'm terrified of needles. The nurse gets closer to me. I kick me feet at her. Kai gets up from the chair. He walks over to me. He whispers I'm my ear. "If you let this nurse do what she needs to do....We will go and get ice cream." Kai holds my hand. The nurse takes the tube out and gives me the shot. Kai kisses my head. The nurse tells Kai's father that they need to talk in the hall. Kai looks at the door. "Do you mind if I....Heal you? It won't completely heal you. Just enough for you to talk. It will kinda hurt." I nod my head. I don't feel like doing sign. "Alright...close your eyes...you will know when I'm done..." I close my eyes. Kai puts his hands on me. They were warm....they felt so soft. Then...that pain hit. He was right. It would hurt. I open my eyes. Kai has like...red? But it was like smoke. From his hands. Honestly it's freaking me out. Though. I can talk. So that's the good thing. "Kai...what is that..?" Kai looks down at his hands. "Oh. It's what makes my powers work." Powers? Pft. But I guess since he is a vampire he could have powers-? The nurse comes back in and hands me my clothes. "Can all of you get out please?" The nurse looks down and unhooks me from all the other wires attached to my body. Then she leaves. Kai's father was already out of the room. Kai walks to the door. "See you when you are done.." Then Kai walks out. I get dressed. Finally out of that stupid paper gown. I open the door and see Kai waiting for me. He grabs my hand. We walk down the hallway. "Can we go? Please...?" Kai looks at his father. "Meranda. I don't think we can go yet..." I look at Kai. I hug him and whisper "Please.....I don't wanna be here any longer.......I don't like it here." Kai grabs my hand. "Okay. We can go to the car. But since my father is driving we can't leave yet." He is old enough to have his license....right?
