Mason🏈

Football is my life so you can imagine when my parents told me that we were moving.

"You have to be kinding me!" I yell and my mom flinches from my yelling.

"Don't yell like that you'll wake up Kyla." Dad says

"Sorry but we can't leave I have scouts looking at me." I say

"You'll have scouts looking at where ever you go son I promise this is the right choice okay." My mom says in a loving voice.

And she was right about it being the right choice especially driving to the girls house that I like a lot. Of course she doesn't know but maybe I'll grow some balls and tell her.

I pull up in her drive way I will never get use to how big her house is. I park my car and get out of it and make my way to the front door I knock and she opens the door with the brightest smile on her face and it bring one to my face.

"Hey" She smiles up at me and my heart melts

"Hey" I say

"Come in" We walk to the living room where I can hear Jo's and Riley's voices.

"Do you remember you three sneaking out of the house and got caught by the cops god that was funny." Riley say I wonder who the third person is?

"Oh my god yes I was so scared Brylee was the calmest she said I got this you guys be quiet god that was funny." they laugh and look over at Brylee and she still was smiling

"Brylee how old were you guys?" Riley asked

"We were thirteen" She say

"Wasn't it before your guys birthday" Jo ask

"Umm yeah it was why we didn't even get cake on our birthday." She says and laughs.

"So you and Riley have the same birthday?" I asked she looks at Riley and then back at me.

"Oh he doesn't know does he?" Riley asked

"Know what" I asked

"He means you don't know who Baylee is" She looks sad and looks away.

"Was you guys friends?" I asked Riley sigh and Jo is really quiet. She looks back at me and what she say next surprises me.

"No she was my twin" She say. Then there was nothing but silence.

"I need a minute" Brylee said

I'm still looking down when I hear foot steps leave the room. We sit there in silence for about five minutes.

"Maybe I should go make sure she's okay" Riley says

"No maybe Mason should go" Jo says I look up at them and both are looking at me.

"I don't know if that's a good idea I don't want to make her more upset." Jo sign and Riley smiles.

"Can I speak to you alone for a minute?" Riley ask

"Uh yeah sure" I'm a little nerves when we walk out of the living room and go to the kitchen. When we get there Riley sign then turns around to face me.

"Can I ask you a question?" He ask

"Uh yeah" I say

" I want you to be honest. Do you like my sister?"

I'm a little surprised when he asked that it takes me a few minutes to refocus.

"Umm yeah I guess I do we became good friends the day of school."
