I drive to the hospital with Brylee in the passenger seat crying and it's killing me.
"Mason it hurts" She says crying
"I know baby just hang in there were almost there"
Ten minutes later we pull in the hospital parking lot and I park the car and get out to help Brylee. When we walk in I go up to the nurses station.
"Hi my girlfriend is pregnant and shes hurting really bad."
"Ok I'll get her a room what's her name"
"Brylee James"
"Ok just give me a second just have a seat"I walk back over to Brylee and sit next to her and put my arm around her shoulder.
"How are you feeling" I ask
"Just peachy it don't hurt as much anymore but it still hurts a little." She says and I nod and kiss her head.
We wait a couple of minutes then a nurse comes out and call us in a room.
" Have a seat on the table dear so I can take your vitals" She wraps a cuff around her arm and takes her blood pressure and then temperature.
"Ok honey can you tell me what's going on with you and how far you are." The nurse ask
"I started having some pain in my low stomach and I'm four months." Brylee says
"She kept crying saying it hurt really bad" I say
" Okay put this gown on and the doctor will be in shortly" The nurse says and Brylee nods her head and takes the gown.
She takes off her shirt and then starts to take her bra off what the hell.
"What are you doing" I ask her and she looks up at me confused
"What I have to take all of my clothes off" She says I just stare at her while she takes off all her clothes and then she puts on her gown and sits on the bed.
"How are you doing are you still in pain" I ask she looks at me and shakes her head and we hear a knock on the door. The doctor walks in and of course it's a man.
"Hi I'm doctor Smith how are we doing" Doctor Smith ask
"I had a lot of pain earlier it's not as bad right now" Bry says and doctor nods his head
"How far a long are you" He ask
"20 weeks" Bry says
"Okay I'm going to get a ultrasound and lets get some blood work and we will go from there" He says and we nod our heads.
The doctor leaves to go get the ultrasound machine and then comes back.
"Okay I'm going to need your stomach so I'm going to give you a few seconds to put the sheet on your low body okay." Dr.Smith says and Brylee nods her head.
As soon as the doctor leaves Brylee puts the sheet on her lower half.
"I'm Scared" She whispers and I grab her hand and kiss the back of her hand.
"Me too baby me too but everything is going to be alright I promise" I say and kiss her forehead
"I love you" She says and kisses my lips and then there's a knock on the door Brylee said "come in" and the doctor walked in.
"Okay you guys ready" The doctor ask we both shake our heads yes
"Just pull up the gown" the doctor asked Brylee and she pulls it up and under her breast and then the doctor grabs the blue gel.
"This might be a little cold" she nods her head and the doctor squirt's some of the gel on her stomach and moved the wand looking thing around on her belly till we heard a heart beat fill the room.
"Looks like everything is fine nothing is wrong with you or your baby." The doctor said
"Then why was I cramping so bad" Brylee asked
"Probably your body getting ready for birth. It's where you stomach is stretching to it's full compacity. I can also see the gender if you guys want to know."
Brylee looks at me "Can we have it written on a peace of paper and put in an envelope please. Is that okay with you Mase?" Brylee ask I nod my head if I speak I know my voice will crack I'm just glad that they are both going to be fine. I grab her hand and give it a kiss then kiss her head.
"Okay just give me a few minutes and I'll have a nurse come in and get that blood work." The doctor said and then left us alone. Brylee then starts to cry I grab her cheeks.
"Hey what's wrong everything is fine" I say
"I was just so scared" She says and I kiss her head and hold her till the nurse comes in and takes Brys blood and then we go home.
The Next Day
I wake up and feel around me for Brylee's body but all I get is an empty spot where she should be. I get up and walk down stairs to the kitchen when I get close I hear laughter and when I walk in I see Riley sitting next to Brylee.
"So how are you" Riley asks Brylee I look at her to see her face expression but it stay the same way I hate that she can hide her emotions so well.
"I'm fine we had a little scare last night but we went straight to the hospital and everything is fine." Brylee says and I walk over to the coffee machine and grab a cup and go sit in front of them.
"Morning" Riley says I look up at him
"Morning Riley, Brylee" I say and Bry smiles at me
"Morning baby"she says with a smile on her face and then gets up and walks to the fridge and opens it.
"So what do you guys want for breakfast" She ask
"Bry baby why don't you come and sit and I make something for breakfast" I say and get up she looks at me and pouts up at me I hug her and kiss her.
"Just go relax and let me worry okay" I say and she nods her head and starts to walk out of the kitchen.
"I love you" I say
"I love you too" She says and walks out of the kitchen.
