Getting used to the new house.. or zoo, whatever fits best

“Hey Kris! Hurry up in there, I need to take a leak.” One of the boys call banging on my bathroom door.

“You have you own bathroom, go away!” I tell them, my voice muffled by the toothpaste.

“Daniel’s taking forever! Come on, it will only take a few minutes!” they plead banging on the door.

“No!” I tell them as I rinse. I didn’t want any of them to see what I look like in the morning, I would never hear the end of it. My hair stuck out in all different directions, no makeup, I look like a monkey but with slightly less hair.

I have noticed that it has became strangely quiet outside my door, surely he hasn’t given up so easily. Something is happening.

I hurry and brush my hair and tie it back into a wet bun for it is still wet from my shower last night. I pad softly to the door and press my ear to my side, trying to see if I can hear anything, but then I do. And I have no time to move either. The credit card slides through the door and it is pulled open, making me fall onto the floor next to their feet. He laughs and hurries in my bathroom and locks the door.

      “UGH!” I groan.

“I didn’t want to give it to them.” Alex says behind me and I turn around to find him in a headlock by Cole.

      “It’s fine.” I say.

“He needed to go.” Cole says dropping Alex who falls on the floor and gets up to punch him in the arm hard. Cole ignores this but smiles a little.

“Yea, and I wasn’t done getting ready!” I snap.

“Why do you have to get all prettied up in the first place? Robert’s not going to be here, and I don’t think you would be trying to impress us, or would you?”

“Will you drop it with the Robert stuff? Seriously, he’s not my boyfriend, he never has been, he never would have been and he never will!” I snap my hands forming fist.

He turns around and sees them, then brings his lazy gaze back to mine, just them looking into mine makes my stomach begin to flutter with butterflies.

“Nah, I rather like teasing you about it.” he says softly.

“Whatever.” I say shaking my head and regretfully taking my gaze off his.

Peter walks out of the bathroom then and looks to me before punching me lightly on the arm and leaning in close to my face.

“Thanks for letting me use your bathroom.” He tells me.

“I don’t recall letting you do anything, you locking me out of my bathroom is more like it.” I tell him looking evilly into his eyes.

“How about I pay you back with a kiss?”

“Forget you.” I snap before walking back into the bathroom. I hear the murmur of voices and then they raise but as they get out of the room I can’t understand what they are saying. All well.

I get dressed in my short denim shorts and a tanktop before throwing on just a little bit of makeup and walking from the room. I walk down to the first floor and find my mom serving pancakes and sausage to all the kids at the table.

“Kriss!” my sisters cheer and I hug them all.

“Hey guys.” I say and they smile.
