"If there are boundaries, I will try to knock them down. I'm latching on." - Sam Smith, Latch.

~Josiah~

Why does she want to help me this bad? Like honestly, I'm actually okay. There's nothing wrong with me! Just because of a stupid sentence.

"Joah, can you stop grumbling! I'm getting you help. Which you need. I'm doing this for you. So stop being ungrateful!"

"Did I say I was ungrateful? Did words even come out of my mouth?"

She groaned as she pulled me towards the building in front of us. "Just shut up Joah. You're doing my head in."

"What's that meant to mean now?!'

"JOAH!!"

Like I said, I never mentioned a word about being ungrateful.

---

The building was massive. Yeah, like gigantic massive. Biggggggg. But not as big as an elephant. But elephants are smaller. Wait, I'm confused. Lemme ask Hayleigh.

"Are you seriously asking me that question?"

She screwed me as she waited for my answer. I opened my mouth to speak when she raised her eyebrow at me so I promptly shut it. Perhaps I better think about what I'm gonna say before I do.

"I'm just trying to -"

"Trying to what?"

"I'm trying to say that couldn't the elephant -"

"There are no elephants in this room. You know that."

"I know but if it could be bigger-"

"An elephant is not bigger than this room, I know for a fact-"

"Would you at least let me finish? Man, damn! Let a man speak!"

Her eyes widened before they narrowed as she began to step towards me. I backed away slowly until she was coming too close to me and I turned to run away towards the reception desk I could see in the distance.

"JOAH I WILL KILL YOU!"

"LOVE YOU TOO BOO!"

"COME BACK HERE!! YOU NEED HELP!"

"Hello. Welcome to Sweet Dreams Academy. Are you in need of help? We can do that and much more."

The smooth saying voice brought me to a stop, just in front of the desk which caused Hayleigh to crash in front of me. The woman seated at the desk had blue striking hair and her eyes really contrasted since it was grey but it seemed to pull you in until you felt like drowning... Deep... Inside....

"-Joah? Joah!"

"Huh?"

"She asked you a question!"

"No she didn't! I would've heard if she did!"

"Ughh! Why are you so unbelievable!" She turned towards the receptionist and stretched out her hand, which she took and shook firmly. Guess her grip was a bit too hard because Hayleigh flinched from the handshake and the receptionist just smiled a sickly sweet smile at her. "My name's Hayleigh and this is my friend Josiah. He needs help and you were the closest people and I've seen you in magazines and on the TV so I figured you guys were good sooooo, I was wondering if you guys can help him, or find out what's wrong with him because he just refuses my help and-"

"Why's your voice getting higher? Its not like she has bat super sonic hearing. You can use your normal voice.......OUCH! That hurt you know!"

Hayleigh punched me and she was giving me a death glare and then turned her attention back to the receptionist .

"He definitely needs all the help he can get. I don't know what's wrong with him."

"Don't worry sweetheart, we'll take care of him. Just come back tomorrow."

Suddenly the receptionist's smile wasnt nice anymore. It looked like she was sneering at Hayleigh. I didn't like that. But wait, what did she just say, that Hayleigh's gonna leave me?! No!!

"Hayleigh, are you leaving me?"

My voice sounded pathetic as she turned to me and gave me a sad smile. She didn't need to say anything. Her smile confirmed it. I suddenly started to shake. I ran towards her but two arms held me back. Security guards.

"HAYLEIGH, DONT LEAVE ME HERE! I CAN'T BE BY MYSELF!! PLEASE!!"

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry doesn't cut it Hayleigh, you know that!"

The last of her that I saw was that sad expression on her face. Forlorn, maybe? She left me. Just dumped me. She was meant to be by my side forever! Is this all she wants of me? Well, when I get out, I'm going to be better and bigger.

And I'm definitely coming back for her.
