K had one phone call after another, I could tell the first call was from her mother and father, I guess the next call was from Simona, obviously it is quite common to her friends and family to check on her, I can tell she is very much loved by them.

I left her at the music room to give her privacy to talk to her family and friends and went to explore her kitchen, I wanted to find out if she had all the ingredients to make the ganache cake I promised her. But she didn't, so I thought I could pop to the shops and get the missing ingredients, now that I have my own money that would be something nice and easy to do.

I walked her neighbourhood and realised It was a massive mega store just a few blocks way. I took the chance to buy a few things for myself, a new pair of jeans, I super cool T-shirt and some underwear and socks. It was easier than go back to Oppenheimer, and I really need a few new pieces anyway.

At the checkout I saw some flowers, and I decided to get that for K, just a small way to thank her for her hospitality.

As I returned to her place I realised I didn't know how to get back inside, so I just ring the bell.

-"hello stranger, I was worried about, where have you been?" - asked me the casual K, as she opened the door for me.

I guessed she had a shower, as her face was now clean of all yesterday's makeup, and she was wearing black leggings and loose t-shirt, instead of the cupcake's pyjamas she had on when I left.

-"sorry, I didn't want to interrupt you, and I find out you didn't have all the ingredients to bake the ganache cake, so I just went to get it... and I got this..."

I give her the flowers I got, and she just had the most unexpected reaction. I realised it sounds more like I was making a move on her or something, I have never got flowers to anyone, but my mother, before. Something tells me, K didn't expect that from me at all...

-"....it is just to say thanks..." I said stumbling on my own words... I felt my face burned with embarrassment.
-"of course... what else... you didn't have to... it is beautiful... thank you so much, let me put them into a vase." - she also stumbled on her words and I noticed a bit of pink on her ever so pale cheeks. What that means? I wondered in my thoughts.

-"so... that means you are treating me?"
-"what?" - that didn't went quite well, and suddenly we both staring at each. And I am pretty sure I brush.
-"you are baking me a cake, right?" She said slowly and bit more in control then me.
-"YES... of course... the cake... I will bake you the best cake you ever had."

And I did, the same cake I did for the final "bake of" when I managed to impress Ganesha. It was perfect, and once it was done we sit down together again to eat the cake.

-"Gods... this is really good, how did you learn to bake something like this."

I want to answer without lying to her. So I just said half of the truth.

-"A friend of mine taught me how, she was a culinary student, and she made sure I could master this recipe. I can't cook anything else, but cake, chocolate cake..."

-"Good enough for me... wow... I am well impressed."

Between both of us we ate the entire cake. Simona and Christy arrived just after, and K made a big advertising of my cake, as a result I had to bake a second cake.

When the three of them are together I feel like a child, they are all beautiful, independent woman, by now I learned they are all in their 30s, and sometimes I wonder if I should be hearing they conversation, but they don't really mind me there, it is like they see me as their youngest brother, if anything they, especially Simona, always make sure I am actually learning something about women.
