The world today was much more different, much more complicated than it had been when Yves was younger, the world had become an inhospitable place for her, a place where she had no place, a place where, at in spite of all that she had, it was nothing more than a dispossession, a place where the rest of her fellow species caused her a dread that very few could understand, a condition that had taken her away from absolutely everything, that had isolated her and that she had made her become a hermit despite only being 21 years. Since her parents had died, ten years ago, Yves had lived alone, isolated in the family mansion, with only a few servants at her disposal who she really didn't trust, those she never approached and with whom she didn't.
However, even though she hated humans, despite her allergy to human contact, even though whe didn't trust any human... Yves still missed being able to do things with someone, she missed being able to talk to a person face to face, she missed everything that human relationships involved.
Therefore, when she saw how the androids began to be a constant tonic in the daily life of the world in which she lived, the young woman decided to investigate them, see how they were, how they worked, being totally fascinated because they looked human, but they were not. They acted as if they were a couple, although they could not develop feelings and looked after their buyer as if it were the most precious thing to them.
