*  Chapter Three  * 

Adrian walked towards us, carefully evading the milk and broken porcelain that lay on the floor.

“Well, hello there.” Adrian said, he stood straight with his hands lazily inside the front pockets of his jeans. Sam didn´t flinch at his proximity and instead held me tighter to him. I forced myself to not roll my eyes at the two males; they were starting to blow this out of proportion. Sam nodded in acknowledgement but said nothing. Adrian cocked one of his eyebrows but offered no further comment. I sighed and tried to pray Sam´s hands from my body. He responded by embracing me with both of his arms.

“You are going nowhere.” He murmured, his lips softly brushing against my ear. I shivered. God, I hated when Sam didn´t play fair. Why did Sam have to be so stubborn? Did he have a dead wish or something? He literally was going against a vampire, and a royal non-the less; Adrian could overpower him in seconds without even getting a scratch if given the correct motivation. I looked directly at Adrian and studied him. Suddenly I realized the severity of the situation. Even though Adrian was acting as if he had no real care in the world, his eyes were extremely dark… so dark that they almost looked like a deep almost black tone of burgundy. Alarm bells started to ring inside my head and I immediately pushed Sam out of my reach.

“I´ll lead you to the door.” I said in a whisper, I easily took hold of Sam´s hand and pulled him towards the door. I glanced at Adrian, who now had his hands clenched into fists, when our eyes met I glared at him as a warning.

“Why do I need to leave? You are my girlfriend, we have the right to be with each other whenever we wish.” Sam muttered. I glared at him; he was acting like a stubborn idiot. 

“Sam, sweetie, if you don´t shut up and if you survive a royal prince attacking you, I will personally kick you in the gut.” I said smiling tightly. Our eyes locked: his warm, amber eyes starring right into mine as if he where watching my soul. Sam nodded with a sigh, knowing that I meant business. I opened the door as I started to breath again; he was going to be safe. Sam walked a few steps out the front door and then halted, he quickly turned around, cupped my check with his warm hand and kissed me. I gasped in shock but closed my eyes when he slightly bit my bottom lip and I got lost in the world of Sam; gosh it was so easy for him to coax me into anything. After a few more seconds I came to the realization of what was going on. I opened my eyes and kicked him in the knee effectively breaking our kiss. He barked a laugh and then without turning back to see Adrian he left, quietly closing the front door.

I closed my eyes and lean on the door.

“What the hell was that Dominique!” Adrian exclaimed, in a second he was in front of me, his hands clenched into fists.

I glared “If you weren´t able to notice, that was my boyfriend. ” I said as I rolled my eyes. “Why are you acting this way anyway?” I asked as I started to walk away from him. I really didn´t need this right now.

“Don´t walk away form me Dominique!” I turned around and glared.

“I do whatever I want Adrian I don´t respond to you.” He growled menacingly. “I guess I need to remind you that you are nothing to me: not my friend, not my prince nor my boyfriend.” I said coldly. He was such a jerk. God, I hated the guy, I really did.

“Need I remind you that you are my fiancé? And soon, you will become my Queen?” He replied. I closed my eyes. 

“Adrian just shut up, I can´t handle this right now.” I said as I rubbed my forehead with my fingers, five minutes speaking to him and I already had a migraine.
