Many years have passed as we continue to fallow a now adult Tommy Jarvis.
His stress and mind as been corrupted by Jason and he wants that to stop. So he travels to his grave stone and digs it up to burn it. When he rapidly stabs the corpse with a metal rod out of anger lightning strikes the rod still penetrated in Jason's chest springing him back to life. The strike added to his paranormal powers now giving him the ability to heal wounds on command.
