After the events of the past film Jason isn't happy about the fact that the camp is still opened so he plans to seek sure he closes it by killing everyone who's currently in it.
After the film he returns to the house when one of the boards creek and break he falls through the boards and lands in an abandoned mine shaft....he thought he could make use of this... Later during killing one of the cops that had showed up to investigate the murders he came across Jason and blew his mask to pieces with a shot gun. Jason eventually killed him but had to wrap his face in bandages.
