Jason is risen from hell by Freddy to be tricked into making people remember him. But Jason just won't stop killing and Freedy isn't a fan of that.
At the end of the film Jason walks out of the lake holding Freddy's head. Freddy's head slowly turns to ash in his hands and goes on to terrorize the dreams of his victims while Jason goes to terrorize people at his camp.
