10: 16 pm Monday
We are on the road for more than half an hour and the GPS don't seem to work. "His house is in the woods?" I asked dad in amazement. "no, as long as I knew it wasn't here". Greg tried to call Paul from his phone but he wasn't receiving any network signals.
Greg keeps on trying to call Paul until he gave up and just drove his car to where ever the GPS was taking him...

10: 50 pm Monday
The location stopped in an old and murky forest with no sign of human life nearby (except us). Dad tried to call while he was driving but still didn't receive any network signals. He didn't even know where he's going anymore. He just drove his car to find someone nearby to help him find the directions. "GOD! This forest isn't going to end any sooner. It felt like an endless road with dead dark trees around." Dad was annoyed and Ben was already dead asleep.

After a few minutes of driving on a dangerous road full of cracks and small fissures our car suddenly stopped! It drifted to the end of the road due to a flat tire. I suddenly jumped out of my seat and my head got hit by the windscreen of our car but thankfully I didn't get any serious injury or any bleeding. Dad was wearing his seat belt and Ben slid to the right door but thankfully I didn't get hurt.

Dad checked the rear mirror to see the tires but unfortunately, it was too dark to see anything. Me and dad left the car and went back to check the damage. He switched on his phone's flashlight and shined it on the tires. The right tire was not flat and so were the two front tires. The problem was with one of the tires on the left side, it was punctured badly and didn't look like it was going to support the car anymore. After inspecting the tire for a while we found a HUGE piece of sharp wood in the tire and yes we did try to pull out the sharp wood but it was of no use as the wood was stuck deep inside the tire and it was too sharp to even touch.

we had a spare tire at the back but no tools to replace it. Dad tried to drive the car and it did move about 11 to 13 kilometers ahead but the rim eventually got destroyed by the weight of the car. The car wasn't able to move and even if it somehow did, it would be no use because there was nothing except a long and empty road. Dad stopped the car and checked for network signals but today wasn't our luck. I wouldn't have been here if dad didn't force me to come with him.

11: 40 am Tuesday
we are sitting in this car for more than 40 minutes and no car has passed by us. We can't just sit here and wait till our fuel runs out and we die of heatstroke, and besides its too hot even with the air conditioner switched on, I can't imagine what will happen when our fuel runs out.

I'm already feeling thirsty. I gave a suggestion to dad that we all could lock the car and walk until we find someone to help us but dad refused and instead made a stupid decision to walk alone with me and Ben sitting in the car.

'' why can't we come with you dad? "

" because Ben is too young and tried to walk and it's safer for you guys to stay in the car rather than come with me."

He told me to lock the car and look after Ben and if someone passed by the car, try to use the horn to give him a sign for help. I was still not happy with dad leaving us alone. I can understand that we need to get help as soon as possible but why can't we come with dad?

Dad took the spare key and walked out of the car, I quickly locked the doors. He soon disappeared in the heavy mist. Now I'm all alone in the car with a 5-year-old boy snoring loud as a siren. I'm already starting to get bored. This was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made...

2: 30 am Tuesday
I woke up to the sound of thunder and lightning flashing in the sky.
" IT'S 2: 30 AM". I screamed with a broken voice. I was terrified about why dad wasn't back yet. Weird thoughts were already starting to lure around my mind. I was going to open my door to look out for dad when I suddenly had a glance at the rear mirror.
...
My eyes were locked to the rear mirror and I was shaking like a leaf... THERE WAS A MAN STANDING WITH A 20 INCH KNIFE STARING RIGHT AT MY FACE. We both had eye contact for more than a minute or so until he started moving towards the car. I panicked and made a bad mistake of staying in the car because I was scared to leave the car and I thought that the car is perhaps safer than going outside.

Soon enough he was right behind our car. I told Ben to hide under the seat and if he's lucky enough, he'll be hidden by the darkness in the car.

In a blink of an eye, he was beside my window, Staring right at my face. He gave me a nasty smile from outside the window as if he was going to kill me right now. I looked closer to his knife and it had blood on it! I was happy that my car was locked and I did have a spare key. I was scared that dad might come any time and he could end up in trouble with this guy.

We both had eye contact for 10 minutes with him smiling at me and I believe I'm safe in the car. But... After a few minutes of him smiling at me, he makes his move... Suddenly out of nowhere he reaches his hand deep inside his pocket and out comes a thing that I could only have dreamed of...

DAD'S CAR KEY.
