Jimin nervously got into Jungkook's limo and told him the directions that would lead him to Lucas. Hopefully, Namjoon would do something about it before they arrived. Lucas was exceptionally good at his job and it would be such a shame and hassle if Jimin had to find someone new to babysit Jungmin. Jimin fidgeted nonstop in Jungkook's car. Jungkook sat beside him and was staring out the window. To say it was extremely awkward was an understatement.
They got back within ten minutes. By then, Jimin was looking out the window when he noticed Lucas walking into his house without Jungmin. Immediately, his body tensed and he was filled with panic. He desperately hoped that Lucas didn't leave Jungmin alone in his house, oddly enough, two men left the house, casually dressed. Something even more odd was the fact that Lucas seemed to be wearing a disguise. He wore dark sunglasses, a bucket hat and a mask. It was as if he was avoiding something.
The moment the limo was parked outside of Jimin's house, the grabbed the keys and unlocked the door. Lucas was laying on the couch with his eyes closed with Jungmin sleeping right on top of him. Jungkook walked out of the limo slowly, following Jimin from behind. When Jungkook was close to the house, Lucas seemed to sense his presence and opened his eyes immediately, pulling Jungmin closer to him.
Jimin couldn't say anything as Jungkook walked inside his house, glaring at Lucas intensely. Judging the way Lucas was sitting, he seemed to be in a defensive stance. He was staring back at Jungkook, maintaining eye contact. Jungmin was still in his arms, sleeping soundly. His body was stiff and tensed, as if he was prepared to protect Jungmin with his life. Jungkook pulled out a gun and placed it on Lucas' forehead. His finger was on the trigger.
"Who's child is that? Tell me, or I'll pull the trigger." Jimin couldn't believe that Jungkook could say something like that so casually.
"Mine, obviously."
It seemed as if Jungkook wasn't satisfied with his answer.
"You can't afford this house, everyone knows that. You became a spy because you didn't have money. Don't tell me you're betraying our clan, are you?"
Jungkook's eyebrows were raised.Lucas took in a deep breath before answering. "I promised my parents that I would have a proper family, but I broke that promise a year ago at a Christmas party in the college dorms. Jimin's taking care of him because his mother didn't want him and I don't want my parents to know."
Jungkook lowered his gun and laughed. Lucas loosened a little, but was still prepared for anything.
"Put the child in his bedroom." Jungkook ordered, causing Lucas to follow his orders immediately.
Lucas came back about a minute later. Jungkook put his gun away and grabbed Lucas by the neck, raising his body in the air and choking him.
"Do you think a pathetic lie like that would fool me, Yukhei? You were clever for clearing your mind, otherwise you would be dead, not that your fate will change."
Jimin couldn't move a single muscle in his body. He was watching Jungmin's babysitter die in front of him and he couldn't even save him. Pathetic. Just as Lucas was turning blue, Namjoon stormed in the room.
"Let go of him, Jungkook! He's innocent." He yelled frantically.
Jungkook let go of Lucas and turned to Namjoon, who tensed up immediately. Lucas dropped to the ground and coughed loudly. At that moment, Jimin felt as if he could finally move again. He walked over to Jungkook slowly and slapped him right in the face as hard as he could.
"You've crossed the line between being cruel and being plain disgusting. Very few people have crossed that line in my book."
Namjoon's jaw dropped at Jimin's words. The entire room went silent. Jimin roughly grabbed Jungkook's sleeve and pushed him outside the house.
"You've lost the right to come here. If I see you again, I won't hesitate to cut your dick off." He hissed before slamming the door directly in his face, locking it.
"I think I'll take Jungkook home. I'll catch up with you later, Jimin."
Jimin sighed in relief. "Please do. If he stays any longer I feel like I'll cut his balls off right now."
Namjoon chuckled for a second before coughing.
"I really hope Jungkook didn't hear me laughing about that." He mumbled before unlocking the door and walking out, closing it behind him.
Jimin could hear the sound of Namjoon dragging Jungkook away, closing the door of the car and driving away. Jimin looked down at Lucas, who seemed to be feeling guilty.
"Hey, I'm really thankful for what you did earlier. I'm sorry for leaving Jungmin with people you didn't know about."
"No, I should be thankful. You risked your life to protect Jungmin, and I'm forever grateful for that."
There was a long pause before Lucas replied.
"The person you should be thanking is Namjoon. After all, he was the one who told me to go on this mission. I'll tell you more about it later." Lucas got up and went to check up on Jungmin, leaving Jimin alone to process what Lucas just said.
Meanwhile, Namjoon dragged Jungkook back into his mansion with Jungkook yelling in protest. The guards opened the door and Namjoon practically threw him back inside.
"What the fuck is your motive, Jungkook? You said you wanted to get Jimin back! You never said anything about killing Yukhei!" Jungkook glared at Namjoon.
"What the fuck was he doing in Jimin's house?" Namjoon sighed in exasperation. "Can't you just mind your own business?"
"It is my business! He's hiding something from me! I don't know if it's something small or if it's something that'll destroy the entire clan!" Jungkook yelled back.
Namjoon rolled his eyes and sighed. "Do you really think a guy who came from a family that almost couldn't feed him would be capable of doing anything bad? He became a spy to earn money, not destroy this clan!" Namjoon yelled back in protest.
"That's exactly the problem! I have no fucking clue what kind of things he would do in order to get his hands on that money!" Jungkook sighed as he slumped on his couch and massaged his temples.
"Did you forget that I'm the one in charge of sending people on missions? Do you really think I'd willingly destroy this clan?" Jungkook seemed to be hesitant when answering the question.
"Normally, no. The problem is that you didn't inform me like you usually would."
"There's a reason I didn't inform you. A personal reason." Namjoon replied casually, sitting on the couch beside Jungkook.
"Do you know what bothered me the most?" Namjoon only curiously hummed in response.
"He was carrying my child in his arms. I was supposed to be in his place." Jungkook's worlds almost made Namjoon choke on his own saliva, if possible.
"Wait what?!" Namjoon exclaimed. Jungkook shrugged in response.
"Well, I'm assuming it's my child. My instinct was screaming at me to snatch the child out of his arms."
Namjoon excused himself and quickly went to the washroom to send a text to Jimin.
Namjoon:
He knows, he found out himself.Jimin:
how?!
