Remembering

"I am sorry, but do I know you?"

As I say those words, I felt a slight discomfort, is it because she is something special to me? Or is it that her name is something that I would rather forget?

"Is he joking?"

"You know my friend already right? He isn't the type to joke about things like this."

"What is this?" "Why I can know that she is worried about me?" As I leave those thoughts in my mind, I didn't realize that Adrian was speaking to me.

"Why are you staring blankly at me? Is there something on my face?"

"Oh! None! I was just thinking about something."

"Stop it. Don't use your mind that strenuously that it already affects your life."

"Wow!"

"What is it, Blossoming Maiden?"

"You know the word 'strenuously'?"

"She's right Adrian, how can you know that word? Even I can't use it that normally."

"I became an idiot, huh?"

"I always thought that you are one though?"

"Just because you're a girl... I'll retort to that statement someday!"

"I don't mean anything by that though?"

"Damn it!"

"She is teasing him, and he is simply playing along with her schemes." "Why does it feel like that I can know their emotions that easily?" "I thought that it is hard enough to see or feel the emotions of humans?" "What is going on?"

"I told you to stop spacing out!"

That loud statement of his was enough to break me out of that void. But we were scolded by the teacher who is having his class next to ours due to it.

"Sorry, but you don't need to shout that out loud."

"It's your fault. I warned you not to space out every single damn time."

"Sorry."

"Please, don't do it. You are one of my very first and closest friends. I don't want to lose any more."

"She's surprised because she didn't even imagine Adrian saying those words." "I can feel Adrian's emotions. I must stop this daydreaming of mine and get back to reality!"

Just before he can scold me again...

"What, Adrian? I broke out of it before you can say anything."

"I know you can't stop it, but it looks like you can control it somehow then."

A brief silence and...

"Hahahahahahaha!"

The two of us laughed.

"So your friendship is much deeper than I thought."

"Adrian, I'll add to her statement."

"Yes, we were childhood friends. I think since kindergarten."

"That is a long time."

"I can vaguely remember but, I was a crybaby back then, even if my classmates back then stopped crying, I was still crying and clinging to my mother."

"Aren't you a crybaby until now?"

"I know Adrian. Hahaha."

"Back to what I am saying, I forgot the exact events, but we became close friends with our other classmates but unfortunately, they need to change schools."
