JIMIN'S P.O.V

"Wake up," Taehyung yelled at me as he quickly put together his backpack for school.

My eyes slowly opened, wondering what was going on. "Why did you want me up so early," I asked, annoyed. I saw him just put stuff in his bag.

"We are late for school. Our alarm clocks didn't go off," He told me as he threw me my bag. I pushed the bag off my bed, not wanting to go to school. We were already late. I didn't see a point in going if we were.

"Can we just stay home? I mean, we are already late. We have two days of high school," I said as he looked at me, seriously.

"We are going. That's the end of the story," He said as he put his backpack on.

I turned to my side, not facing him. "I'm not going," I told him.

He chuckled, clearly making me go even if I didn't want to. "So you will be okay with Jin knowing you didn't show up, even though I woke you up," He asked as I sighed, sitting up. Then I got out of bed, getting my backpack from the floor.

"Fine, I will go," I told him as he smiled, victoriously. He then left the room, letting me get ready for school.

———

"Do you know why the alarm clocks didn't go off," I asked as we both walked on the school's campus. We were probably two hours late but that didn't matter. We were still here anyway. Taehyung shrugged his shoulders, not having a clue why they didn't go off.

I sighed, looking at the school in front of us. I had to talk to Jin after school. He said he needed to.

"Are you doing anything after school," Taehyung asked me as he looked over at me.

I nodded. "Yeah, I'm meeting Jin," I told him as he nodded. His eyes fell to the ground below him. I looked over at him, wondering what was wrong with him.

"Taehyung," I spoke out as he didn't raise his head up.

He just spoke out, leaving his eyes on the ground below him. "I thought we could talk."

I put my hand on his shoulder, letting him know I was there for him. "We can, Taehyung," I told him as he looked up at me. Tears formed in his eyes.

"Thank you," He told me as he hugged me, tightly. I let him stay like this for a few seconds, knowing how it feels to be sad. Then he lets go of me, looking at the school. "We probably need to go," He said as he chuckled.

I nodded as we both walked together. I didn't say a word to him. One sign of dealing with grief is hiding it.

———

"So why were you late to school," Jin asked me as I looked away from his intense glare. He expected me to come to school even though I was graduating in a few days.

"My alarm clock didn't go off," I told him, trying to explain what happened. It wasn't a big deal missing two hours of school.

"What would your parents think about you missing two of school," He questioned, bringing up a sensitive topic.

I immediately looked at him, serious. I wasn't playing around. "Don't even bring them up," I told him, firmly. I hated when people spoke about my parents. It made my blood boil just hearing Jin speak about them.

He sighed, "Calm down. I wasn't going on and on about them," He said. He was right. He wasn't going on and on about them.

"You know how I feel about them," I said, looking out the window.

"Yeah, I know. I won't bring them up again,"  He told me, looking down. I hoped his words were true. I didn't want to hear a word about them. They didn't deserve to be talked about.

"Can we talk about what we were supposed to talk about," I asked, annoyed just sitting there in silence. I promised Taehyung I would talk to him, and I didn't want to let him down.

"Yeah, we can," He said as he grabbed something from his desk drawer. The he placed it on the desk where I can see the item. I looked over at the desk, seeing the exact bracelet that the man at the restaurant gave me. It was the one that the humans use.

"What about it," I asked as I tried to reach out to grab the bracelet. But he slaps my hand away.

"Don't touch it. It's dangerous," He told me as I looked at the bracelet, confused. It just looked like a regular bracelet that the humans use.

"What do you mean," I asked, wanting to know what it does and why he didn't want me to touch it.

He sighed, grabbing the bracelet with one finger, trying not to wear it or touch it with his skin. "It hurts vampires," He said as he touched the bracelet with his skin. I looked over at his skin, seeing a red mark on it. The red mark would go away but the problem was why was it harming vampires. The bracelet was never made to do so. Then he put down the bracelet on the desk, rubbing the red mark he got.

"What actually happened to the bracelet," I asked, looking at the bracelet. I didn't dare to touch it. I had no clue what it would actually do. I didn't think Jin knew anything about it either.

He shrugged his shoulders, still rubbing his red mark on his wrist. "I don't know. It looks the same as the human ones."

I took a closer look at the bracelet. "You don't think someone is making those to hurt the vampires," I asked as Jin looked at me, shaking his head.

"No, there couldn't be anyone that could," He said, not believing what I said to him. I believed what I said. There was a idea in my mind that someone were making the bracelets just to hurt us vampires.

"What about the hunters," I asked as he immediately looked up from his wrist.

"No, I think they died years ago," He said, thinking he was right. I didn't think he was. I mean, there had to be more out there. They want to kill all the vampires. Jin sighed, "You know what, I will look into it. Go for now," He told me as I nodded.

I stood up, going to the door. He was probably trying to figure it out or trying to get it through his head. But I had no clue what was happening. I thought the same as Jin, thinking the hunters were gone for good. I sighed as I left the room. I had to talk to Taehyung. I knew he needed me, and I was going to me there for him no matter what.
