After dinner was finished and the kitchen cleaned ( took longer than they thought since they chose to do the muggles way) I was headed to bed. Mum and dad walked up to the room with me, and after I changed they went to took me in. But before I climbed into bed I saw something grey and brown at the corner of my eye.
Turning towards it I see it was a stuffed dog, which almost looked new. I picked it up and looked at it curiously as if I recognise it. Albus and Minerva came in.
" I see you've found your dog" Albus said
"My dog?" I asked as I feel like its meaning full to me. The. It clicked " WOOFWOOF" I shouted and hugged it mum and dad laughed.
" Yes you couldn't sleep a wink without it" mum said as she pulled back the covers so I can get into them. After pulling them up around Amy. Minerva sat down next to her daughter. "Yes I remembered one night, and we tried to put you down and you were so tired that you didn't even notice your didn't have WOOFWOOF and neither did we. But as soon as we left and shut the door as quietly as w could, you stated to scream! Louder than I have ever heard you before, so I ran back as quickly as I could, thinking you may have gotten your arm stuck or something of the sort. " mum told me and I smiled with WOOFWOOF in my arms as I listened to the story. " But when we came to unstick you, we found you and you wasn't stuck at all yet you were screaming. We tried everything to get you to calm down but nothing was wrong. You were in my arms when we realised you haven't got your dog was missing, and it was like you knew that we knew what the problem was because you suddenly stopped screaming. It took me and your farther 2 hours to find that dog! and we thought about giving up, and try and give you a different toy but every time we tried it you started to scream again." Mum was telling it as if she was reliving it. We searched everywhere for it! but that blasted dog was nowhere to be found. So we called your grandmother and - " Mum stopped dead " Your grandmother! Oh merlin help me!" She said and ran out of the room. I sat up and watched her leave. " Did I do something wrong." I asked dad as he sat where mum used to be. "No Sherbet! It seems your mothers forgot to tell your grandmother that your back" he said and I nodded. He leaned forward and kissed my head. I smiled "goodnight sherbet" he said standing " Goodnight daddy" I replied and dad smiled. He smiled every time she called him that. After they left her with the Dursleys, he thought he wouldn't be called that in his entire life, so he was very happy to be proven wrong. "Daddy" I called. As dad reached the door and turned around. "How does the story end?" I asked wanting to know how they found my dog. Dad smiled and walked over to my bed. "Well your mother called your grandmother, she was exhausted looking for this dog. Your grandmother came through the floo, muttering to herself as she came in your room, opened your closet door, reached up and grabbed your dog the top shelf. The one place we hadn't checked, as we never put your dog in there! You should of seem your mothers face! She almost exploded at your grandmother. Finally she gave you, your dog and you fell asleep." He told me and I laughed." So it was in the room the whole time, yet you and mum searched the whole house for 2 hours?" I asked and he nodded making me laugh even more. " you have an extraordinary mind dear to remember everything and know everything Amy. Not many people have a mind like this. Don't worry too much on the past dear, it does not do well to dwell on the past. And forget to live." He said and kissed me on the head and standing to leave. " your mother will be in when she finishes with your grandmother. I wouldn't be surprised if you meet her tomorrow" he winked at me and left. Mother would be furious. They knew about Amy since the start of the school year and she hasn't told her mother.'Merlin help me now' she thought as she went through the floo and came out into her mothers living room. "Oh! Minerva what a surprise! You startled me! What got you here so late?" Isobel asked. Once Minerva had shown up in front of her. " yes mother everything's fine, it's just. Well there's something I have to tell you. Minerva sat down next to her mother and explained what happened during the year. Isobel sat with her moth agape, for most of Minerva's speech, occasionally bringing her hand to her chest or mouth. " So it's her? It really is my granddaughter?" Isobel asked, her throat tightening. Minerva nodded and is feeling her own tears come to surface. "Can- Can I see her?","not tonight she's already in bed and is a wee bit weak, and Poppy will have my head if she doesn't rest." Minerva said letting her Scottish accent come out. " But I think tomorrow should be alright, if you wanted to stop by tomorrow after noon, then it would be easier to explain it to her. Isobel nodded and was crying, which was making Minerva tear up as well. just then Malcolm came in " Oh Minerva! I thought it was y- what did you do?" He asked suddenly seeing tears in his mothers face. " oh MALCOM she didn't do anything they got her they got her back! They got our little Amy back. " they all was happy. " Oh Minerva I'm so happy for you!" He hugged her. He asked many questions. Minerva laughed and sat down Isobel fire called Robert and once he was there Minerva started explaining things again. " they should be put in azkaban for what they did" Robert said." There muggles rob" Isobel said. "Yes but they deserve to go to a muggle jail" Malcolm said Minerva smiled at he brothers protection over there niece. What is she like?" " She's so beautiful and so smart top of her year at Hogwarts ,she had a choice which house she wanted to be in." She went on all about how sweet she is and the pranks she's done, that she's in Gryffindor, and how brave she was facing one of the greatest fears and being injured for the ones she loves. " I'd better get back! I jumped up and left in the middle of a story, I was telling her. You can all come around soon! Ill fire call you" she said standing, thanking her family and giving them all hugs, she went home. The house was silent when she arrived. She supposed Amy was asleep I suppose it was quit late 'Albus is probably sleeping as well' she thought as she quietly went up stairs and opened her daughters door. Her heart swelled when she saw her daughter sleeping clutching onto her dog. Minerva went to the other side of the bed and laid next to Amy as she slept. She was scared that when she wakes up in the morning this would all be a dream. Stroking her hair softly, Minerva was thanking what ever god was out there that her daughter is home.
