Chapter 8 : Blushing..?

Snuggling against something warm and cozy, Naruto slowly blinked his eyes open.

And instantly regretted it..

He'd actually fallen asleep on Sasuke!! He just thought it be interesting to pretend but he DID NOT prepare himself for actually falling asleep!

Naruto blushed red. This was more embarrassing than he'd expected it to be. He really just dug his own grave.

Sasuke who was still peacefully asleep, with his fingers tangled in that blonde mess of hair, pulled Naruto closer to him making it so that Naruto's face was buried in his neck, with his own face buried in Naruto's hair.

'well.. Just what I need to make things better', thought Naruto, sarcastic.

Slowly waking up, Sasuke noticed immediately who he was unknowingly cuddling.

And for the first time in his whole life, he blushed like there was no tomorrow!

Going blank for a good few minutes and immediately letting Naruto out of his killer grip, he noticed that the blonde was awake too.. And... He was..... Blushing..?

'too.. CUTE'

Then he lost it. Sasuke, without a second thought, pulled him into a hug.

'Way. Too. Cute!'

He was really out of it. Really. So much that he went as far as to lightly kiss Naruto's neck upto his ear, and whisper out, "so cute.."

And that was enough to not just melt Naruto but evaporate him! - he could literally feel himself steaming.

But the worst part of this was that.. He really.. Liked it..

Sasuke, as out of it as he was, he still found it weird that he wasn't pushed away yet, and came right back to his senses.

Slowly pulling away he tried to peek at his face, except.. He wasn't able to pull away.. Naruto was holding him back.. With quite a grip..

Ohhhhhelllll.. Was this gonna make him snap.. He had better not lose it and jump Naruto, cause really, he wanted to treasure him better - as cheesy as it may sound.

"Na-", crap his voice cracked, clearing his throat he tried again, "Naruto..?"

Naruto, who was busy internally cursing himself, refused to bulge. In fact, he tightened his grip. Burying his face into Sasuke's chest this time - blushing brighter than red and not wanting to be seen.

Sasuke blushed again, and slowly bought his hand that still rested in Naruto's hair down to his nape. The other trying to get a grip on Naruto's cheek. He tried to gently pull away,  to look at him.

"No-", Naruto's voice squeaked, making him blush more, "Uh.. Don't look at me right now.. Stupid teme..", he voiced out softly.

'crap it all..', Sasuke was on the verge of snapping. 'just how much more cuter can this dobe get.. He's really.. Unbelievable..'

Giving up on trying to peek at his face -Concluding it to be too dangerous- Sasuke holds Naruto in a gentle embrace.

This only made Naruto want to disappear out of embarrassment and hold on tighter.

And they were in sync again! Really, this mysterious connection that they share, what would be the right way to word it, I wonder?
