Yuri could not bring himself to tell Viktor how he felt. What if he rejected him? What if he went back to Russia? Yuri couldn't even tell his own mother he was gay. All this time spent ice skating with Viktor had brought the two so much closer together, and Yuri started to develop feelings for him. But he was still so shy! He was afraid of being hurt. But he had no choice.

Yuri felt a tugging at his heartstrings and he knew he had to confess. He knew it was stupid and he had no right to tell his teammate that he was gay. But he had to! He had to do it for Viktor. For his own good.

Yuri opened his mouth to tell Viktor that he loved him, but he hesitated.

Yuri swallowed nervously. "I'm sorry." He whispered.

Viktor chuckled, and then said, "It's fine." He grabbed Yuri by the shoulders and kissed him, quickly, deep, and long. Yuri tried to hold him back. But it was just too much, too soon, and Viktor's lips were too wet to hold back his tongue. Yuri felt Viktor's tongue on his own, so he pulled his head away and said, "Please, just—"

Viktor pressed Yuri's lips to his own. They kissed until Yuri felt himself building in his throat. Yuri was lost in the heat of their kiss, and his hands were trembling at Viktor's back.

Viktor finally pulled back, and Yuri saw his face. He was flushed and breathing fast, his chest heaving, and he looked just as nervous as he felt. He stood up and Yuri quickly followed him, just as Viktor slipped his hand into his pockets. Viktor turned and smiled at Yuri. "Well, you look like you could use a break. Come on, I'll get you some tea. You should probably get something to eat, too." Yuri smiled and nodded. He followed Viktor out the door and into the streets.

Viktor drove away in the opposite direction of the restaurant and Yuri wondered what was going through his head. He had a few hours to kill before the party and he didn't mind spending it with his beloved Viktor. He was happy with what he'd had with him this past week. He didn't need anyone else to make him feel better. He was on cloud nine.
