Chapter 8: The Lab

Billy's pov:

I can't believe this we have to go to that freaky lab, where the gate of those horrifying creatures are coming from. this is terrifying but, we need to do it so we do need to keep going. i glance over at Emily as we drive to the Lab, she looks tense but perhaps its because she probably thought she would never have to go back there. i gently rest a hand on her lap, trying to calm her. she grasps my hand and glances over at me with a soft smile that said thank you. we continued on our drive, we stop when we see that gate entrance to the lab is closed. they must've closed it so no one would lose they're life if, they're experiments managed to escape the lab. smart. but now, how are we supposed to get inside? suddenly the gate started to open on its own and i glance over at Emily, her nose is bleeding. she opened the gate for us, i continue driving in and i park the car, Joyce's car parks next to us. we all get out of our vehicles and we look at the dreadful building looming over us like the boogyman himself. Hopper handed me a 10mm pistol, a shotgun and an assault rifle. so i could fight back just in case those demodogs find us, we walk inside and its quiet...to quiet. see a bloody handprint and a bunch of dead lab employees down a hallway. "Brother, we're gonna have to go down that way, unfortunately..." :Emily said from beside me. She was talking about the hallway i was just looking down, i was scared. suddenly, i heard a hallowing sound but...it was a demodog, it was just a dying lab employee...there's nothing we can do for him now.

me and Emily start making our way down the hallway she had pointed out to me, she used her mind to snap the neck of any demodog that tried to get close to us as we made our way towards the gate to shut it down once and for all, to finally end this madness. we continue onward down the hall till we reach a staircase and keep going down the stairs, we go further and further down until we reach a lab area, Emily looked tense...so that means that we must be rather close to the gate. here we go.

Emily's pov:

to be honest, i'm kinda scared but this something we have to do or we're doomed and the shadow monster and his minions will destroy this town. we keep going further into the lab, i could hear a demodog nearby...i quickly snapped its neck before it could get close to us. i can feel it, we're getting close to the gate, that overwhelming sense of dread that's causing me to tense up...its also making me more determined to keep going. finally we'll be ending this madness once and for all, the town will be saved and we can finally go back to living our normal lives or as normal as it can be, with all that we have witnessed here tonight, there's no way life can be truely normal after all this...i smile slightly from the relief that this will all be over soon and i can finally rest without having to worry about demodogs or demogorgon attacks...there it is, at long last there it is the lift that will take us to the gate...time to end this. we get on the lift and start going down. "Billy, i'll need you to keep watch for any demodogs while i close the gate. otherwise, we're doomed. use the assault rifle then, the shotgun in case the assault rifle runs out of ammo." :i tell brother before facing the gate, the shadow monster was facing the gate. it was mad, it knows WHY we are here. i let out a sigh, and raise my arm towards the portal my hand open and i start using my powers to close the gate, it starts working but its going slowly. i hear the assault rifle going off behind me, shit the demodogs are coming. i think back to before all this, to all that has happened to me up to this point and i start feeling angry, angrier than i've been in all my life. Blood start to gush from both my nostrils now, my ears as well. its all that damned doctor brenner's fault, HE did this to me, HE made Eleven open the gate, HE set all this in motion full knowing he was putting the whole town in danger, HE is the MONSTER, HE RUINED MY GODDAMN LIFE!!! The shadow monster reached a shadowy tentacle towards me it sense my weakness and i don't care. i raise my other arm and i start, to scream loudly...as loud as i possibably can. i feel my feet leave the ground as i start to float. Brother looks between me and the gate in awe, at last, the portal is FINALLY closed. the demodogs start to fall off the wall as they die from the portal being closed. i fall to the ground, brother lifts me in his arms, and presses a button and the lift starts going up, its over...its all finally over.
