Last night I heard Aye Mere Humsafar playing on someone's phone and I was taken back to our SamAina's little song sequence during their Delhi track.
Honestly, I feel this was the most underrated song sequence of the show, maybe because these two weren't together...??
This is honestly one of my favourites. And not to forget, our SamAina's pillars were always with them.
Who else got tears while watching this? It was so emotionally overwhelming, because at one point, they're eagerly waiting for the other, then they're crying over the fact that they don't meet as frequently as they used to, then ecstatic when the letter has reached Sameer.
Honestly, this was the true love depicted by the 90s lovers.❤
I mean, long distance relationship in today's time is feared by everyone, despite having gone so further in technology that you can see each other through video calling despite being on opposite poles of the earth. Whereas then, just a letter used to take almost a week to be delivered to the next person even though in the same country, yet their love didn't whither at all.
The romantic touch those letters had is totally nonexistant in the messages that are sent between lovers. Honestly, I would definitely want to communicate with my lover or husband via letters.❤
