Hiccup x reader

Living in the forest is never easy. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. I just have to live with it, I haven't got anything anymore.

*flashback*

I woke up to my father shouting for me to wake up. When I did I smelled smoke. We got outside and I saw a horrific sight. My whole village was on fire. My dad put me on my dragon a D/S called D/N.

Once I was on my dragon he told my dragon something that I could just about hear.

" keep her safe D/N. Take her far away from here." He said to D/N and she nodded. She then took off and she saw another village she turned slightly so we went to the forest next to the village she didn't know how they would react to getting a kid on a dragon. I have been hiding from them ever since nervous of what might happen.

*flashback end*

Coming out of my daydream I saw someone in the forest. He had brown hair and he had one leg. A dragon came out I'm guessing it's his dragon and to my surprise. It was a NIGHT FURY!!!

I didn't think any existed anymore. The night fury came closer and spotted me. D/N went in front of me to protect me. The boy looked over at us and noticed she was trying to protect me. He then came over.

"Toothless calm down she is only trying to protect her rider." He spoke up and the dragon backed down. He then turned to me.

"Sorry about him." He said to me.

N-N-No worries" I said stuttering as I spoke. I looked down embarrassed.

"So why are you all the way out here?" He asked. I kept my dead down unsure if I should mention anything.

"Um, it's a story I would rather not get into." I said talking quietly.

He nodded showing he understood.

"Come to berk. I'm sure your missing having people around." He said smiling slightly. I looked up at him.

"I would rather not." I said with a little worry in my voice. He looked at me his smile fading.

"But-" he started before I cut him off.

"Please just go. I don't want to be around people." I said slightly higher then what I probably should have.

He looked taken back from my voice. I looked at him with a guilt ridden face then I looked down.

"I'm not used to human contact anymore." I said before walking away.

Hiccups POV:

When I got back to berk I went straight to my father. He was having a meeting with the berk council.

"Dad. We need to talk." I said with a stern voice. They looked at me and my father nodded.

"So I was out in the woods when I saw a girl. She looked like she hasn't been in contact with anyone for a while. When I offered for her to come back to berk she denied and ran off." My father looked at me and spoke up.

"So, what do we do?" My father said to me.

"Three of is go up there and convince her to come back." I said smirking.

Me, my father and spitelout were walking through the forest trying to find the girl. We came across a camp and it looked like someone was living there. Then I saw the same dragon but a hooded figure was behind her.

Y/N POV:

When I was looking over the resources I heard something. I grabbed my bow and arrows and put my hood up. I walked out and I saw three guys. One was the same from last time.

My dragon took a defensive stand next to me and I raised my bow and arrow.

"Wait! It's jut me." The boy spoke. But I still didn't lower my bow.

"I'm Hiccup. This is my dad Stoick he's the chief of berk. And this is his second in command spitelout."

"I'm Y/N" I said quietly.

Stoick came closer and put a hand on shoulder.

"Lass. Why are you out here all alone?" He said in a soft voice.

I sighed and sat down. I knew I would have to tell the story one day.

"I was seven and I heard my father calling my name. I woke up and he pulled me outside, he picked me up and put me on my dragon. I looked around and my entire village was on fire. Everywhere I looked there was fire and destruction. I got out but the next day I went back and it was all destroyed. And my parents and everyone from my village was nowhere to be found." I said to the three guys looking down.

Stoick hugged me.

"I understand love. It can be terrifying to lose everyone you love. But moving on is the best thing to do." Stoick said in a soft voice to comfort me.

I looked at him and sighed. I knew he was right

*time skip*

It's been a few months since I started living on berk. Everyone tried there best to help me settle into a village again. I also have gotten very close to hiccup. I saw a note on my bed and picked it up. I saw it was from hiccup. He wanted me to meet him, so I waited until sundown like he wanted. Once it was sundown I went to the cliff where he wanted to meet. I saw he was already there. Me and D/N landed and he turned around. He looked at me and a small blush crept onto my face.

He came closer and looked at me.

"S-So I h-have a q-question" He said stuttering. I nodded telling him to carry on.

"W-will you b-b-be my g-girlfriend?" He said still stuttering I looked at him a smile making its way onto my face.

"Yes hiccup" he smiled Widely.

And from then on me and him lived
