"When people say that one should follow his/her heart and keep on trying and eventually the luck will shine one day should also explain that what's the chances of getting lucky when we follow our heart but don't want to work hard for it?" I asked while moving my fingers in Ritika's hairs after a great unforgettable time we just had

"My answer to that would be, probably none," she said and giggled

"Now that is rude. I am trying so hard to follow my heart and I just got rewarded for the same, but this should happen more often without me trying so hard to get lucky every-time,"

"Hmmm, let's see. Well there is only one way for that to happen,"

"I am listening,"

"You should get married, so you don't have to try so hard and get lucky every-time you want," she said dramatically

"Are you serious? Every-time I want?"

She laughed seeing a glitter in my eyes

"Move away," she said while trying to push me away

I grabbed her by putting one of my legs around her belly and kissing her on her back

"Don't you think you are getting way too comfortable with all this?" she asked

"Well after so many struggles, there are some great perks of dating Miss Ritika Desai. I should at-least reap the benefits,"

"Shut up you nasty lawyer. Ok listen, on a serious note, I want to tell you something important." she said

"It is not so easy this time to change the topic. First tell me, when are we going to meet again?"

"When you listen to what I have to say first and when you rent your own apartment. I hate to come to your friend's place," she said, a bit seriously

"Ritika, how am I supposed to justify renting an apartment here In Delhi when I am studying in Meerut?"

"I don't know, but this is the last time I am here."

"This is not fair,"

"Well I have a better idea,"

"I am Listening?"

"Come see my parents and ask for my hand."

"You mean for marriage?"

"What else?"

"I have a better plan," I said

"Tell me?"

"You know our dad's. Specially after the last argument they had, it would be difficult to bring them to the same room. So instead of wasting our energy in convincing them, let's meet and do this more often and sooner or later you will get pregnant. Once that happens, the parental convincing would be drastically reduced," I said and smiled

"Not funny," she said dramatically and this time she got successful in getting away from my trap

"Why? To me this is the easiest way out. Don't you agree?"

"Definitely this is easiest for you, you just have a good time, I bear the pain of getting pregnant, my family bear the pain of society pressure and then get forced to talk to your family and beg them to get us married or make me go through abortion. How convenient it could be?"

"Now that is something I was totally not trying to imply." I said defending myself

"What else were you trying to do then? Did you listen to yourself? How can you be so mean and selfish?" she said defensively
