Short Horror Story?

Prologue

Note : This story will be mostly in third persons POV.

A car is shown in which 3 sisters and a brother are heading towards their home. Out of which one sister is married and have two kids who are also with them in the car.

Conversation in the car:-

Hoor{27yrs} : What is this Maha? I was extremely worried.

Maha{23yrs} : How am I responsible?

Annu{25yrs} : Di mean to say, why are you all so late? You said you all will be back by 7pm right?

Hoor : And now its 11pm.

Maha : It was driver's mistake, he forgot to refill the fuel tank and bus stopped in the middle. Due to which we were late from the picnic.

Hoor : Next time I'm not sending them on any school picnic.

Haider{15yrs} : Hoor di, now you are exaggerating. Maha di and I were with them right.

Annu{to kids} : Did you guys enjoy?

Shehry{9 yrs} : Yes Annu.

Hoor : How many times should I say, call her Annu maasi. She is your aunt, not friend.

Annu : Di, I don't like being called maasi it makes me feel old. Kids call me Annu only, okay?

Zubi{7 yrs, exited} : Okay, Annu you know we visited a haunted house also today.

Maha : It was a fake haunted house and before you ask I was always with them.

Annu : You should be, afterall you are their teacher.

Shehry : Mom, do you get scared?

Hoor : Me? Never, there is nothing which scares me.

Zubi : And Annu you?

Annu : You know me, I'm not Maha or Haider.

Haider{offended} : What do you mean by that?

Hoor : That you both are scary cats whereas we both are brave.

Maha : Aren't you both too overconfident? By the way why are we taking this new route to home?

Hoor : Actually the usual route is blocked because a tree is broken and lying in between the road.

Haider : How did you know about this route Annu di?

Annu : I don't know, google knows hehe.

Suddenly the car comes to a halt.

Maha : What happened?

Annu : How will I know? I am driving remember?

Maha : Don't be sarcastic now.

Annu and Maha get down and check, but couldn't find the fault. They look around, so that they could get any help. They find a mansion just 10 steps ahead.

Both come back to the car and ask everyone to come with them as the caretaker of the mansion said that "he will find a mechanic in the morning to repair their car and also that they can stay at the mansion for the night."

Hoor : But how can we trust him?

Annu : Di, do you have any other idea?

Maha : Annu is telling correct Di, it is also very late.

Haider : Yes di, its 11:50pm and also there is no network to book a cab.

Shehry : Mom, I'm tired.

Zubi : Mom, I'm hungry.

Hoor : Okay fine, lets go.

They walk towards the mansion, they see a giant gate which was slightly open. They look at the name plate of the mansion which was RAJMAHAL and enter inside. All of them miss to notice a board lying at the corner on which "Do not enter" was written.

While walking in the direction of the main door, Haider who was observing the surroundings see a shadow behind the trees which were located beside the mansion.

Haider : What was that?

Annu : What?

Haider : Nothing, I think I saw someone.

Annu : Where?

Haider : Nevermind.

Caretaker : You can take any room on first floor.

Zubi : Uncle why are you hiding your face with a cloth?

Caretaker : Because I can't show my face to anyone.

Shehry : Why?

Caretaker : I'm suffering from chickenpox [a disease where you will get pimples/rashes all over your body]

Maha{low tone} : Oh! I thought your wife ran away with the watchman.

Hoor : Maha!!!

Caretaker : That is also a reason.

Annu : What!!! {Chuckle}Sorry uncle. Where are the switches?

Caretaker : Once you step inside everything will happen on its own.

Haider : Meaning?

Caretaker : I mean there are sensors everywhere, hence wherever you step lights switch on automatically.

They step near the main door which automatically opens wide with a sound 'karrrrrrrr'. They all were busy in looking at the mansion from the door. And when they turned to ask the caretaker if they can find something to eat. No one was present there.

【Reader : Was the caretaker a ghost?

Author : No dear, the poor man was urgently in need of using washroom. So, he went😂】

Maha : Where did he go?

Shehry : Maasi, lets go inside.

Everyone step inside the mansion and all the lights switch on. Its interior was mind-blowing. They walk futher in only to hear clock sound 'ting'. They look at the clock in which the time was exact 12am.
