Hello, I hope everyone is doing okay with coronavirus going around are being safe. Well, here's the next chapter from the Cullens POV.
😶
Monday morning, my family and I were getting ready when my 'sister' Alice came into my room, gliding to my closet, she chooses my outfit, 'This is what you'll be wearing today, brother!' she thought excitedly before I could put in a word, she was out the door.
'What?' I thought but I just put on the outfit she picked out for me since I know the consequences of not wearing the outfit, she has chosen for me. Quickly putting on my clothes I went downstairs to see that my 'brothers' and 'sister' also dressed up more than usual as well.
"Alice?" I question wondering why we were dressed far more luxuriously than normal. "Why are we dress like we're going to meet the Volturi? Are we meeting the Volturi...?"
"We're not, we are gonna impress the daughter of Chief Swan, and you better not screw this up, Edward. Swan's daughter is something 'special' we best not get on her bad side. Why? I don't know the answer to that... yet," answered Alice. "Time to go, if we want to get a glimpse of Isabella Swan the daughter of Chief Swan." She repeated herself to impose that it was very important.
I looked to Jasper – Alice's husband, "Any idea why we should be worried at Alice's word?" I asked him, "and the emphasis on me not screwing up?"
'I don't know, she is keeping her emotion in check, so I can't get a read on her emotion, but she been hiding something for a while now since we've returned to Forks,' Jasper thought to me, as he went to follow his wife to the garage getting into Edward's car.
"Mind telling us what that was all about?" snapped Rosalie, who doesn't like being in the dark – not knowing what's going on as she can't protect her family well if she doesn't have the necessary information.
"Calm down, Rose. You know how Alice is when she hides things and doesn't tell. She'll tell when she's ready, not even Edward could get it from her and certainly not her husband Jasper. We must wait." Emmett said holding her close as he too doesn't like it when Alice becomes cryptic. He pulled Rose with him to the garage, getting into Emmett's Jeep waiting for Edward so they can all leave at the same time.
"Well, that is that. Everyone, you best be on your best behavior as Alice might be foretelling something to go wrong at school. Dear, you go to work, and I'll be home working on my designs," Esme said, knowing her 'children' would be able to hear her from the garage and her husband who was taking a shower, before coming down to start his day.
"Yes, darling." He gave his wife a kiss on her cheek and left for work pondering on Alice's emphasis on 'special' throughout his day at work.
"Okay," I said feeling an ominous feeling coming over me, but I shook it off following my brother and sister out to my silver Volvo, I then drove off to school with Emmett following, 'Let's race to the main highway, little brother!' Emmett thought, pushing the gas to go around Edward's Volvo.
Shaking my head in amusement, I also push the gas and started to race after my brother weaving in and out of the line trying to keep ahead of each other, just like when we are running through the woods and having fun. 'Are you okay, Edward?' Jasper thought as he too felt the ominous feeling from Edward. Just as they were getting close to the main highway, they soon obey the speed limit on the way to school.
I allowed Emmett to win when I heard Jasper's concern, I glance in the rear mirror once again wishing many times over if I could communicate with them both ways, so I can answer their questions in private. I nodded, "I'm fine just... I don't know... something bad going to happen – I guess."
