The villagers are at least trying but their fear is holding them back, which is interesting seeing that Nemu, the youngest person in the entire village, managed to actually tame a chimera.

And it seems that the mother of the baby has taken a liking to Nemu and accepted her as her own baby.
Nemu:" *hugging the baby chimera* It is so cute!"
Kage:" Well if you take good care of it it will be a reliable friend for you through your whole life."
Nemu:" I promise to take good care of it and to play with it and to feed it."
Kage:" Then what about a name for your little friend."
Nemu:" Huh?"
Kage:" Well it will need a name so you can call it by that and no chimera is the race so you shouldn't call it that."
And so Nemu has been thinking for over half an hour while the other villagers didn't even get close to the three other beasts Kage presented them.
