"Cataclysm!"

The walls of the ice cage disintegrated around Ladybug and Cat Noir, both with their fists up, prepared to fight. A quick scan of the area told them that Iceolator was gone. Ladybug quickly looked down to where they last saw Marc and Nathaniel to find that all that was left there was yet another cube of ice.

"Marc," she called, swinging her way down to the street below, "Nathaniel? Are you in there?"

Nathaniel's voice came from inside the cube. "Ladybug? It's Nathaniel, Iceolator took Marc away in a cube," he told her, trying to keep his calm. He was surprised at the success he had in doing so.

"Stand back," Cat Noir stepped forward and held his staff horizontally so that one end was facing the cube. From inside, Nathaniel obeyed, putting himself in a corner.
With the press of a button, Cat Noir extended his weapon and it impaled the thin walls of ice easily, creating a hole in the side. Ladybug helped Nathaniel out of his confinement, and he thanked her.

"Where do you think she went?" Cat Noir asked aloud, leaning forward on his staff.

"Now she has Marc, which is what she wanted from the beginning," Ladybug thought aloud. "Where do you think she's taking him?"

"Maybe she's taking him home?" Nathaniel suggested. "Earlier, Marc's sister called and I heard her say that she was in a box at home, so maybe she went back to get them both?"

Ladybug rubbed her chin, thinking.

Cat Noir chimed in with an idea. "Maybe she's going home to get her daughter, now that she has her son?"

Ladybugs eyes brightened. "Yeah! She wants to get them both to a safe place, because that's all she's wanted," she concluded. "Thanks Nathaniel; nice job kitty," she smiled at them both and smirked at Cat.
"Do you know which way she went?" Ladybug asked Nathaniel.

"Uh, that way," he pointed in the directions he saw Iceolator go in.

"Thank you Nathaniel, this is really helpful!" Ladybug zipped away, and Cat nodded at him nobly before leaping after her.

Nathaniel smiled. He knew Ladybug and Cat Noir would succeed, all he needed was to have hope.

Susan sat on the floor of her ice prison, cross legged, leaning her head back against the wall. She really hoped her brother was okay, but she knew Ladybug would handle it. But what if she couldn't...

Suddenly, she felt her box shift, and she sat straight up. Was someone there?
Her box moved further, and she could feel it sliding across the floor of her home. "Is someone there?" Who was moving her? She didn't get a reply, and she adjusted herself so that she was on her hands and knees in order to maintain her balance a little better.

Susan felt her box being lifted off the ground, and her heart rate picked up quickly. She had a fear of heights, and she stayed completely still, afraid that if she moved the floor of her cube would break and she would fall to her death. She had been brought into some light, in contrast of the darkness in her home, and now she could see through the thin ice walls that held her, although it was blurry and unclear. She could see that she was being pulled toward a blue figure, with another cube beside it. There was someone in the other cube, and she was pretty sure who they were.
"Mom? Marc!" Susan put her hand to the wall, being sure not to apply too much pressure to one place on the ground.

"Susan?" She heard Marc's voice from the other cube.

"Don't worry, my sweet children," Iceolator spoke, "you both will be safe with your mother, away from all possible harm."

Susan curled up in a ball, holding her knees to her chest. She was so scared, and everything felt hopeless. Usually akuma attacks didn't last for this long, something was wrong. "What happened to Ladybug and Cat Noir?" Susan gathered the courage to ask, although it came out in a shaky breath.
