I lit another cigarette, as I made my way through the darkness, glancing uncaringly at the buildings I passed, not bothering to take notice of them, and eventually found myself standing outside a building that proclaimed, "The Bronze". I figured only a name like that could belong to the club Buffy had invited me to, and carefully went inside, raising an eyebrow at all the heat radiating from dancing bodies, several of which belonged to incredibly hot girls. My eyes narrowed, as they landed on a familiar blonde head, and wondered how the hell my sister could have possibly beaten me there, and why she was covered with sweat, and- Bleeding, apparently. The conversation between her and the group of people she was sitting with stopped cold, as I walked over, and she looked down. Now, I wasn't a fan of her, Joyce, or anyone really, but I knew what it felt like to be hurt, and judging from the bruises on her face, she did, too, and even if I didn't like her, someone beating up on my family wouldn't be tolerated. I darkly muttered, "Tell me who hit you." Buffy looked up, blinking with surprise, and asked, "What?" I repeated, "Tell me who hit you.." She awkwardly replied, "No one.." I began getting frustrated, when suddenly, a guy that looked like he was going to a disco walked by, and smirked at my sister. I noted the cuts on his face, and that's when the anger grew in my chest.
I knew he wasn't human; No guy in his right mind would try and impress girls dressed like that, but I had to be careful, and not let my sister, her friends, or the vamp on to what I was up to. I instantly shrugged, muttering, "Fine. Don't tell me", to Buffy, and smiled seductively at the vamp, who winked at me. "Wanna go somewhere more private, hot stuff?" I cringed at his use of the nickname, but ignored it, and followed him. Buffy called, "Rachel, I don't think-" Her voice got lost, as the back door slammed shut behind us. The next thing I knew, I was roughly slammed up against the brick wall, which, normally, I would find hot, but had to hold down my disgust, as the vamp began kissing me, heading for my throat. I slowly reached into my jacket, and slipped the wooden stake hidden there out, but before I could make another move, a foot collided with the vamp's skull, and he staggered backwards. Out of nowhere, a brunette dressed in jeans, a leather jacket like mine, and combat boots suddenly appeared, a sexy smirk across her fine features, and I went weak in the knees for all of two seconds, until she started kicking the shit out of my kill. I charged at her, and collided with her hard, sending us both to the ground, my knees scraping against the asphalt. She uttered a surprised, "Hey!", then rolled to the side, coming up on her feet.
I stood up, dusting myself off, then pointed at the vamp. "That's my vamp, so back off, creep!" The vampire glanced between both of us, then uttered a terrified shriek, and took off running. Without looking, I hurled the stake in his direction, and was rewarded seconds later by a cloud of dust. The girl shook her head, anger clear in her hazel eyes, then muttered, "Who the hell are you?!" I smirked, and replied, "Your worst nightmare", and she laughed darkly. "Really? Cuz my worst nightmare is that outfit you're wearing. Is it supposed to be intimidating? Or are you really thinking you're some badass?" That did it, and I threw a right hook at her. She ducked under it, and swung her left leg at my chest. I managed to catch her leg, and pulled, sending her flat on her back. She instantly pushed up off the ground, and threw a left hook at my jaw, swinging her right knee up at the same time. I managed to dodge her knee, but it caused me to land right in the path of her left hook. Pain exploded through my mouth, and I tasted blood, and the girl looked totally caught off guard as I started laughing, spitting out blood. I held up my arms, and motioned at her with my fingers. "That the best you got?" She replied, "Oh, no, honey, I'm just gettin started. That hit should've knocked you on your ass, but since it didn't, I gotta ask; What the hell are you?" That caused me to hesitate for a minute, the darkness inside of me stirring, and I clenched my teeth, before growling, "The one who's gonna kick your ass!"
We blended together in a blur of punches, kicks, and dirty moves like hair pulling, until eventually, we both sprang away from each other, breathing hard, and coated in sweat. She spat out blood, covered in cuts and bruises, and I twitched slightly, as my possibly broken ribs twinged, but I enjoyed the pain. The girl smirked, and said, "You're good, kid. Really good. I bet the boys are just drooling all over ya, huh?" I wrinkled my nose in disgust, and muttered, "Wouldn't you like to know.." Before I quite knew what I was doing, and before she could prepare for it, I had slammed her up against the wall, my hands on either side of her head. I was maybe an inch taller than her, and as I glanced down, a shudder seemed to run through her. Something flickered in her eyes, before she laughed darkly. "Damn, you haven't even bought me dinner yet. What kinda girl do you think I am?" I whispered in her ear, "The kind who might get herself hurt if she messes with me." I licked her ear teasingly, then stepped away, whirling around as the back door to the club slammed open, and a familiar voice called, "Rachel!" I groaned in annoyance, as the girl called, "Yo, this chick belong to you, B?" Of course the hot girl knew my sister..Why wouldn't she?
