A clear, bright shine appears on the sky as the day finally arrives... for war!
The enemy is now in front of us, Isa is with the main army along with the other commanders for defense support, Vladi is with Myriad and the long rangers, Arksen is with the Barbarians, and Kagito, Zenith and I are together in another secluded spot.
We are waiting to see the enemy get in range for our attacks. Normally, that would mean we would be in theirs too, but we have a card under our sleeve.
'Just a bit more, a bit more, come on...' I could feel the vibration caused by the huge army that was coming closer and closer to us. He environment felt tense as all of us are ready in our positions, tightening and relaxing our grip on our weapons. 'Finally! They are there' a sly smile escapes from me, as I watch the mayhem that's going to come soon.
"Thunderstorms" Eroda says as he points towards our enemies and thunderstorms start hitting the enemy. Thanks to Eroda boundless magic prowess, his range is huge, but the downside of them is that the time to cast those kinds of attacks are a bit long. While he can use stronger spells than that, we simply needed to spam those at our enemies to cause the most damage possible.
But it truly seems the enemy forces are almost unfazed at this attack. Despite its strong destructive power and wide area, the enemies did have a lot of defense magicians, so they can fare against attacks like these, making their casualties minimal. They are prepared to go against us, and I think that was quite a surprise attack from our part, but their formations didn't break in the slightest as they marched at full speed.
'Tyrfing... what a troublesome fellow'
As Eroda continues spamming area attacks and our archers start shooting their arrows, we have come into an advantage as the enemy advances, getting more casualties along the way.
This was the start of our said 'plan', coming now a collision between the soldiers of our Guilds. Isa's group will have a boosted defense, as her Paladin class is very useful in these kinds of situations, thus they will be able to maintain them at bay with ease. Once they are more or less near, we let Eroda throw one of his big attacks to disrupt their balance, Tact Hand would go in too, as his main specialty is ice magic. But the morale from the other party is tremendous, and their buffs increases as the battle and the commands from their leader are being given.
It is a troublesome opponent indeed. If worst comes to worst, the villagers will go to the front line to stop the enemies' attacks and our battle power would increase... but there was one inconvenience, and that was death...
As NPCs, their death would imply to be gone forever, that's why the Barbarians were asked to enter later for security reasons. It would be the best if us players can go against them one on one, but our enemies surpass us two-fold and the commander is not a joke in a war. Hell, she wasn't a joke even one on one.
The battle between the Guilds start as they engage with weapons in hand.
Desperate shouts are eaten by the powerful sounds of explosions and weapons clashing.
Their magicians and archers are acting, and some seemed to be assigned to defend, but we cannot see their leader yet, she is too far. And it is just at that when Eroda makes a full cast and says.
"Thunderous Inferno"
Huge thunders of fire started falling from the sky as if they were a Heavenly Tribulation, hitting our opponents mercilessly. Many started disappearing like nothing at the huge attacks from our one and only Warlock, but he doesn't stop there and spells "Meteor Shower".
With that name one can easily expect what are the things falling from the sky as huge boulders start hitting their defensive positions with tremendous power, creating shockwaves and earthquakes.
