The morning light passed through the sheer window curtains, it was bright but not blinding. The cold winter morning was evident because of the fogged panes and the snow piled on the window sill. I turned to my other side to see Ed's sleeping face. I watched him breathe lightly, his chest rising up and down. His pale skin made his freckles noticeable up close. He has lashes that curled naturally in the same color of his hair and his beard-- which looked like four to five days worth of scruff. I stared at his pink soft lips for a moment until it's slowly curved into a smirk.

"Can't believe I'm still here, can you?" he teased and fluttered his eyes open. "Alright, stop staring. I already know you are head over heels about me."

"O-kay, gorgeous, whatever," I said rolling my eyes.

I placed a kiss on his lips. Then, greeted him good morning.

Ed and I made breakfast in the kitchen. We made pancakes, his favorite, of course. That was the only thing we could make out of the things in his cupboard, aside from a few packets of crisps. We had a jamming sesh by the fireplace after breakfast. He played some of his new songs to be put in his new album, they were all amazing. I played him some of my new songs as well, though not yet finished and polished, he loved them.

Hanging-out with Ed made me lose sense of time, it was almost lunch already and we were about to meet his parents for lunch. I scrambled from my seat to get ready and fast. I put my black coat on, then wrapped a cozy scarf around my neck. I was a bit nervous about meeting Ed's parents. I’ve met then before, they were cool but we were only friends then. I was lost in thought when Ed appeared in front of me, waving his hand.

“Babe? Hello? The car is ready, are you coming?” he said.

I snapped out of my thoughts. “Yeah!” I declared. "Sorry, I was zoning out."

"Are you alright, love?" Ed asked.

I nodded smiling. He wrapped his right arm around my waist and led me to the car.

The drive from Ed's to his parents' place was short but it felt like hours. My concern was them not wanting me as their son's girlfriend because of my reputation. This thought drove me anxious. I clinged on Ed's arm leaning on his left shoulder. We talked for a bit about a newly released single on itunes. Then, he went on, ears muffled with headphones listening silently all throughout the ride.

We arrived at his parents' house after a short while. Snow-covered path and a gust of chilly wind welcomed us as we got off. Ed held me and put our hands in the pocket of his coat. He opened the front door and shouted, "We're here! Mum? Dad?"

Ed’s mom peeped from the corner inviting us in the kitchen, “In here, love. Come!” she said.

Savory scent surrounded the house as we walked inside. It smelled like roast chicken with rosemary, butter, garlic, I couldn’t tell the rest but I can tell it was flavorful. Approaching the kitchen, I saw Imogen, Ed’s mom, taking out the chicken from the oven.

I smiled and greeted her with a hug, “Hello Mrs. Sheeran, it’s great to see you again,” I excitedly said. She quickly put down the tray of roast chicken on the counter and to return my embrace.

“Please, call me Imogen. Oh, I’ve missed you, darling” she claimed then placed a hand on my cheek. “This lovely face, how are you doing, love?”

“I’m alright. I mean, I think my body's still coping from the scorching heat down under straight to freezing cold weather here in the UK," I said joking.

"Aww, you'll be alright. I'm sure Teddy here is happy to warm you up, eh? Don't you, love?" Imogen teased.

It was so embarrassing I was sure my cheeks turned red. Ed was blushing too. He tried to stop his mom from poking him with her elbow and then he spoke.
