Clarke

Clarke stood frozen. The shock of having shut the dropship door on the people she loved the most meant she couldn't think clearly. Clarke frantically looks around the dropship for as many faces as she could. The fact that only about 40 of the 100 are in the dropship makes Clarke upset and angry with herself. Out of the corner of her eye, Clarke could see a remorseful Jasper looking frantically for his friends. Clarke had the sudden urge to run up to Jasper and comfort him. She wanted to make sure that everybody knew that she made the right decision but how could she do that when she can't even convince herself?

Clarke pulls her eyes away from Jasper to see that chaos had broke out in the dropship. All she saw was her people attacking somebody for some reason. For a split second when it seemed as if the world had frozen, Clarke spotted the person everyone was attacking.Clarke spotted the leader of the Grounders, Anya.

For a minute Clarke stood and smiled. Finally she was getting revenge for the loss of the people she loved the most, Finn and Bellamy. Then she remembered something, they aren't grounders. They don't attack people for no reason, unlike the grounders.

"STOP!!" Clarke yells in order to stop her people attacking Anya. For a split second everybody looked at her with utter shock.

"Why?" Someone asks amongst the crowd.

"It's revenge" Someone else yells.

"We are not grounders" Clarke tells them. When everybody else realised that Clarke's right they backed away from Anya and left her on her own surrounded.

"Damn right your not" Anya yells at Clarke. "You don't belong here"

"That doesn't give you the right to try and kill all of us" A girl shouted.

"You started the war" Anya said.

"No we didn't" Clarke shouted back. As far as she is concerned, they have only done things that they've had to do.

"You burned one of our villages to dust with those flares. We see that as an act of war" Anya stated. Clarke momentarily saw Anya's side to the arguement but she knew in her heart that it wasn't her fault. The flares were sent to provide a message to the remaining people on the Ark.

"I've told you before that the flares were a message to our people so they could live" Clarke tried to reason with the grounder.

"That doesn't make a difference" Anya argued. Clarke was running through several scenarios as to how this could pan out. They could kill Anya and act as if it was an accident or they would, again, try for a truce. "And look what you have achieved today. Hundreds of my people will have died out there today, because of you"

"I'm really sorry about th-" Clarke was interuppted by Anya.

"No you're not" Anya shouted. "Hundreds of my people are dead because of you"

"You can argue all day about how I killed your people but at the end of the day, we are going to have to live together somehow. We are not going anywhere" Clarke pointed out to Anya.

"We already attempted a truce" Anya stated. "And look how that turned out"

"We could try again" Clarke pleaded.

"Why? What would be the point?" Clarke could see that deep down Anya is just doing the best that she can for her people.

"Because I don't want any more bloodshed" Clarke could see that the people around her were looking to her to protect them. She hates the fact that hundreds of people have died because of the 'war' between them and the grounders.
