Bellamy

Bellamy is lucky to be alive. The quickness of his running ultimately saved his life. Nothing could stop the adreneline pumping through his veins. He made a quick stop to check for anyone behind him. He was relieved to see that nobody was behind him. The last few days of his life have been absolute madness. One day surrounded by people who worshipped the ground he walked on to being alone running in the woods, away from the danger. He didn't want to stop, the fear of being followed was too much. Even the aching of his muscles wasn't enough to stop him.

Sudden flashes of Octavia's face as he left her behind flooded Bellamy's mind. As much as he disagrees with her relationship with Lincoln, he knows that Lincoln will do anything to protect her. There was no doubt in his mind that Octavia will retrieve the medical attention she needs from Lincoln. It just bothered him that he couldn't actually have done it himself. Next flashes of Clarke's face as she closed the dropship door flashed in his mind. There were obvious reasons behind why she did it. If she hadn't closed it when she did many more of their people would have been killed. There most likely would be hundreds of dead grounders surrounding the dropship along with bodies of his people. There will be longlasting aftermaths for killing all of those grounders.

The ramifications will be huge. Bellamy concluded that they hadn't actually thought ahead. He at the time, had just thought that they would kill the grounders and it would all be done with. But only now had he realised that, that won't be the case.

Bellamy was pulled out of his thoughts by his eyes capturing the sight of a grounder. Luckily enough the grounder had not yet spotted him. At a closer inspection Bellamy recognised as the grounder that he had fought with Finn before the blaze. The anger began to boil through his veins. The irrational side of him wanted to run straight out and attack the grounder but the other side wanted him to walk away. Then Bellamy realised that there is no other side to him, only the irrational side. Without grabbing a weapon Bellamy ran out to face the grounder. The second he the grounder heard Bellamy's footsteps approaching he turned around to face his competitor. This threw Bellamy out of his comfort zone. He had no weapon. Nothing to defend himself with. However the grounder was ready prepared. There was no running away now. The grounder would not allow him to just simply walk away.

Bellamy didn't know how he would go about protecting himself from the grounder. The grounder has had his entire life to train to protect himself, Bellamy has had only a small amount of his life learning to defend himself. The grounder attacked him first by knocking Bellamy on to the floor.

Bellamy didn't have much time to react to the situation. The grounder had complete control of the situation. Bellamy had always thought that if he was stuck in this sort of situation then he would be able to win easily. But that isn't the case. Bellamy was ready to give up. What did he have to live for? Octavia will be happy with Lincoln. But then he remembered the words that his mother had said to him, your sister, your responsibility. That's when he realised that he couldn't give up. He promised to always care for Octavia. No matter how much Lincoln loved her, its not same love that she experiences with Bellamy. Nobody but them understand.

Using every ounce of strength he had left, Bellamy reached for anything heavy that he could use. He quickly spotted a heavy looking rock that was within his reach. Bellamy didn't waste any time in reaching for the rock. The grounder didn't have any time to reach before the rock collided with his head. Bellamy took advantage of this time and rolled over quickly so that he could get up off of the grounder.

Bellamy must have hit the grounder rather hard because the grounder waited a few seconds before attempting to stand up but before Bellamy could attack again someone shot the grounder from behind. His first reaction was to turn around and see who had shot the grounder. Bellamy was shocked to see who it was. Finn.

For a few minutes none of them said anything. Bellamy couldn't believe what Finn had actually just done. He had just picked up a gun and shot a grounder. The other day he refused to even touch a gun. Now he just killed a grounder.

"Thanks" Awkwardly Bellamy thanked Finn.

"I had to do it" Finn stated. Bellamy could see that Finn was in a state of shock. Now he has to come to terms with what he has done. Bellamy walked up to Finn and took the gun from Finn's hands. In a way this seemed to ease Bellamy's mind. Right now Finn is unpredictable.

"How about we go and find Clarke and the others" Bellamy suggested. He wanted to take Finn away from the scene of the crime. Finn just nodded in response. Bellamy took it upon himself to lead the way. He could see that Finn wasn't in the mental state to cope. He could hear Finn's footsteps behind him as he lead the way back to their camp. "You'll get over it soon enough"

"Get over what?" Finn asked.

"Shooting the grounder" Bellamy couldn't comprehend Finn's behaviour.

"There's nothing to get over with" Finn said plainly. He was beginning to act as if nothing had happened, like he hadn't just killed the grounder. "You have to do what you have to do. You should understand that more than anything"

"You just killed a grounder Finn" Bellamy told Finn.

"You shot our chancellor" Finn said with intention to hurt him.

"For a reason" Bellamy said. "Thank you for saving me back then but you need to pull yourself together. Before it eats away at you"

"I just need to forget about it" Finn told Bellamy. "That's how I will move on"

"OK then" Bellamy comforted Finn. "Let's quickly get back to camp"
