After the doctor had left I call out for Zak who had left the room.
No response.
A nurse comes in with a clipboard. She had short straight and black hair and blue scrubs.
"We have results from all your tests, you ready to hear them?"
She asks .
"Did you see my boyfriend out there, he was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans?"
"No ma'am , no ones out there "
I'm instantly hit with a wave of disappointment. Where did he even go? There was something going on. He was screaming on the phone and then just disappeared.
"So, the results ?" She brings me back to reality.
"Umm yeah that's fine " I say.
"Ms. Stephens , you have a minor concussion. This may cause nausea, tiredness, and headaches. Try to rest as much as you can and stay hydrated."
"Is that all?" I say desperately to finish this conversation and find Zak.
"And we took sonograms and your babies weren't affected by this trauma."
Wait what?
"Excuse me?" I blurt out.
"Ms.Stephens , you did know you were pregnant right ? You are having twins."
"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU ZAK!" I scream.
Daddy of the year runs in out of breath. He looks upset. Something is definitely wrong.
"Hey," I say , "what's wrong? Where's Olivia?"
"Alaya, she's fine but I have to go" he comes in and sits on the side of the bed.
"Go? Go where exactly Zak?" I say extremely confused on where the fuck he thinks he is going.
"I have to do something. Don't worry, please.
For me." He looks really scared. I wonder what's wrong.
"Stay please" I'd rather have him here with me. Something is off about him. I've never seen him like this.
"I can't , I gotta go" he starts to get up and leave.
What can I say to make him stay?
"Didn't you hear daddy?"
He turns quickly and gives me a confused look.
"We should get a bigger apartment soon for the five of us" I say as I show him the sonogram pictures the nurse had brought me.
He leaves me in complete shock when he still walks out.
I instantly start to cry. What did that mean? Is he leaving me? I don't believe this. How the fuck did I let him get me pregnant again?
"Hey doll"
I look up to the person I would've never expected to see again.
Travis came into the hospital room with a bouquet of roses.
"Travis? What are you doing here?"
He sits down on the chair next to my bed. He looks different. Good different, compared to the last time I saw him.
"I heard what happened and.." he scratches his head, "I guess I was worried".
"Well thanks for checking up, how are you?" I say awkwardly, it's been a while since we've spoken.
"Better. So much better , Ally's been helping me a lot."
"I see. I'm happy for you Travis." He quickly starts shaking his hands in front of him.
"Oh not like that. Gross! Ally is like a sister to me" He chuckles.
"Like I was, T?" I grab his hand.
"No Alaya, you were so much more than that." He says. "You and Olivia were my world. And I lost both of you."
"I know Travis, I'm so sorry." I cry. "You were right anyways about Zak. I told him I was pregnant again and he left" I sob.
"He broke my heart like you said he would."
I cry into Travis's shoulder.
"Alaya, I'm sorry. I need to be honest with you. Zak didn't leave you. He went to find Olivia."
What? What did he mean? I don't know what overcomes me with the need to cry.
"Where's by daughter?"
He gives me a sympathetic look.
"Travis where is Olivia"
"Ally was at the apartment watching her , when two girls came in , I think Jenna and Emily . They hurt Ally and took Olivia"
They took my baby? I instantly start sobbing.
Those crazy bitches took my babygirl.
"Oh —oh my god" I cry and Travis comes in to hug me.
"I need to find her" I say trying to stand up.
"No Alaya. This is why Zak didn't want to tell you . He told me to keep you calm. You're pregnant you have to think about that Lay"
"Keep calm? My daughter is in the hands of Zak's crazy exes. How do I sit here knowing they have her." I sob "How Travis ?"
"Oh my god? How's Ally?" I quickly remembered about my best friend who had also been affected by Jenna and Emily.
"She's fine. She went to the hospital and I took her to her parent's house"
"Oh god. Why is this happening? If I would've stay with you I would've been happy" I instantly regret saying that.
"No, Alaya you wouldn't have. You were never in love with me. I see the way you look at him and he looks at you. That love is real and mutual" he laughs.
"I do love you Travis, but as a friend" I open my arms to give him and hug.
"Yeah I know. I missed you and livey" he says
"We missed you too" I say.
ZAK POV
What the hell do I do?
I can't call the cops and I can't go by myself.
They had my daughter . They had fucking pushed me to my limit.
RING RING
Why were they calling me again?
"Where's my daughter?" I say
"You are gonna have to come find her yourself lover boy , I'll send you an address baby" Jenna's nasty ass says to me.
"Shut up you little shit" I hear Emily in the background.
"I'm gonna fucking kill you bitches" I say and hang up.
My phone goes off with the address of the place Jenna was talking about.
I knew exactly who I had to call.
"Dave , is Louis around, I'm gonna need both of you."
