Rowan's POV:

𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐔𝐑 habit, Peter and I were reading in the library. I had lost track of how long I had been away from the boys, however, I wasn't anxious to find out.

I was happily content being where I was. I had gained so much new knowledge, strength, and ability while under Pan's watch. He had taught me so many things that I had never known before. I had learned how to bend the world around me, I had learned about all the different sorts of wildlife that lived on this giant island. I had gained more knowledge in the fields of botany, trapping, and alchemy. All three genres I had no idea that I would have been learning about before.

The days droned on and on like that. The times that I wasn't with Pan in the library, I was sitting in my Crow's nest, contemplating everything that had happened to me. Contemplating what would happen if I decided to leave; thinking of what would happen if I chose to run back to the Jolly Rodger and my father and the crew and the sea.

"You sure can sit alone with your thoughts for a long time."

I looked over my shoulder briefly to see Peter leaning against the railing behind me then returned my gaze to the horizon.

"And?" I replied.

Pan started walking over to me. "Well, sometimes it's better we let our thoughts have their own alone time. In order we don't overthink things." He floated above me, flipped upside down so I could see him. "Aye?"

He offered me his hand.

With suspicion undoubtedly dawned on my face I asked. "What do you have in mind?"

He smirked, 'Well, take my hand and you'll find out. I do believe that you'll like it."

When I hesitated once more, he rolled his eyes. "Come on, have I ever led you wrong?... Don't answer that..."

I chuckled lightly and with a shake of my head, I grabbed his hand. With a jolt and a scream, he flew me up in the air with him.

As we flew, I clung to him, still loathing flying.

When we landed, I collapsed to the ground, finally opening my eyes, out of breath. I heard Peter let out a low chuckle. I made a rude gesture to him that only made him laugh harder.

"My, my, temper, temper." He shook his head, smiling.

Using my staff to support me as I stood, I rolled my eyes at Peter and looked around at the scenery for the first time. My jaw dropped slightly and I was robbed once more of my breath.

We were in the most beautiful lagoon that I've ever seen in my entire life.

The water was so clear that you could see the marine life swimming at the bottom. The sky was empty of clouds and small birds flitted from here to there. There were trees that draped flowery vines from their branches. Light pink poppies littered the area beyond the sand and lush, green grass was able to be seen between the sporadically placed flowers.

I turned to finally look at Peter who had the smuggest smirk on his face.

I opened my mouth, but no words came out and I was left looking like I was imitating a fish.

"I... I'm speechless..." I finally choked out, taking a sweep of the landscape with my eyes once more.

Pan chuckled, "Beautiful, no?"

I nodded. "I can't even fully describe... wow."

I laughed and turned to face him. "What is this place?"
