Prologue

"I'm going crazy!" Niall shouted while he was pacing back and forward in his living room. His hair was pointing in various directions and he indeed looked like a madman.

"Chill, Niall." Zayn rolled his eyes leaning comfortably against the armrest of Niall's couch.

"Chill? Chill! So you guys are okay with this? The two of them constantly fighting?" Niall stopped walking around and turned to stare at Zayn and Liam.

"Of course not! But it has always been like this. They hate each other's guts." Liam answered calmly.

"No, it hasn't. Not in the beginning, remember?" Niall sighed.

"That was three years ago." Zayn stated, looking bored.

"Ha! You admit it!" Niall shouted, pointing a finger at him.

Zayn huffed in frustration and leaned forward to bury his face in his hands. "Admit what exactly?"

"That they're in love but won't tell each other." Niall grinned.

Zayn threw his hands up in annoyance. "What?"

"Second that." Liam mumbled looking concerned. Had Niall finally lost it?
"They can't stand each other Niall. It's taking a toll on all of us."

"Wait, I've made a timeline." Niall shouted excitedly and ran in the direction of his bedroom.

Zayn and Liam looked at each other with an amused chuckle. It was such a typical Niall thing to do. Niall soon returned to the living room pushing a gigantic whiteboard. "A little help here guys!"

Liam and Zayn ran over to help him drag the board in front of the sofa. They sat down again and started eyeing the board in front of them. Niall pulled out a pointer and hit the first picture on the board.

"Right. Let's start at the beginning! So this is a picture from July 23, 2010. As you can see this is when we were informed that we were put in a band together. Notice Harry and Louis hug. Louis jumped at Harry and wrapped his legs around him. Then look at us."

"So?" Liam questioned.

"Does it look like they hate each other?" Niall asked with an eyebrow raised.

"No, but we didn't know each other back then! We had just been put in the band like right that second." Zayn whined.

"Exactly!" Niall shouted and pointed at Louis and Harry again. "But look at those two and compare them to us. Seems like they got to know each other already." Niall grinned.

"Yeah, they hung out between things. So what?" Zayn asked.

"Let's move on." Niall slammed the pointer on the next couple of pictures which were still shots from their video diaries.
"This is when the touching, flirting, and fond staring started."

"Can't argue against that." Liam chuckled and Zayn smirked in response.

"I know! And it goes both ways. And guys, you must remember how they acted around each other in the x-factor house all the time. They bloody shared a bunk bed." Niall exclaimed excitedly.

Zayn rolled his eyes and Liam nodded his head.
"But that's not proof that they were in love. They were just really good friends." Liam argued.

"I'm just getting started." Niall smirked before he pointed at the next subject on the timeline. "November 3, 2010. That's the day Louis went missing out of the blue. Remember? Harry was really upset that day and refused to tell us why and Louis went home without permission. We never got an explanation from either Louis or Harry. Not one that made sense anyhow. Right?"
