SILENCE

The Pit

 "Chuck, what's on?" Thomas asked as we arrived next to the boy near the tower.

"Girls are awesome." The young boy stated and I smirked. 'Duh.' I thought to Thomas making him smile and shake his head.

"Leave me alone!" Shouted a voice at the top of the tower as a rock was thrown from above.

"Watch your head!" Frypan shouted, all the boys had things to cover them from the rocks.

"Hey, throw one more of those things- Ow!" Gally started but then got hit by a rock.

"Go away!" She shouted.

"We come in peace!" Someone shouted.

"What happened?" Thomas asked as we hid under the top of a crate.

"Just duck!" Winston shouted.

"I don't think she likes us very much." Newt stated as he hid.

"What do you want from me?" She shouted.

"We just wanna talk." Gally shouted.

"I'm warning you!"

"Take cover, y'all! Take cover!" Frypan shouted when I got an idea. 'Thomas! Tell her it's us!' I thought at him and he nodded at me.

"Hey, it's Thomas and Mia! It's Thomas and Mia!" He called and the rocks stopped. SHe peeked over the side before going back. "We're gonna come up, okay?" He asked and when she didn't respond he started climbing. I followed right after him. Gally tried to follow us but that wasn't going to work. "Just us. We're coming up." He called the last part upward. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay, just... Easy, all right?" I could hear Thomas say as he reached the top.

"Where am I? What is this place? Why can't I remember anything?" She bombarded him with questions as I also reached the top. She had a machete and was clutching it tight.

"This is all normal. Okay? We've all been through this. Okay? Your name will come back to you in a couple of days. It's the one thing that-" Thomas began to explain when she cut him off.

"Teresa."

"What did you say?"

"My name. It's Teresa."

"Teresa, I'm Thomas. But you already knew that, though, I guess, huh?"

"They said I kept saying your names in my sleep. Who are you?"

"We don't know. We can't remember. None of us here can remember anything. We all woke up here just like you did. Same with Mia here." I nodded at her as she looked at me. Teresa waved as a sudden thought occured to me. 'Can you hear me?' I thought towards her.

"DId you just say something?" She asked me.

"Mia doesn't talk. Unless..." He looked toward Teresa. 'Can you hear us?' I heard in my head and she stared at us. 'Yes.' I heard faintly in my mind. 'She can do it too?' I thought towards both of them. 'Apparently?' 'What is this?' 'To be honest, we don't entirely know ourselves.'

"What's going on up there? Is she coming down?" Gally called from down below.

"Um... Hey, listen, you guys just give us a second, okay?" Thomas called down to the group.

"All right. Come on." Newt said to the others and their footsteps faded.

"'She's the last one.' What does that mean?" She asked and I shrugged.

"Since you came up, that Box hasn't gone back down. I just think it's got everyone a little worried. Especially Gally. He thinks it's our fault. Are you sure you don't remember anything else?" Thomas asked her and she concentrated really hard.
