The Angels of Darkness

Chapter 9:

(Andrew PoV)

I woke up the Next day from Charlie messaging me.

Charlie

Andrew, where are you?

Me

I've been with Tina, I'm sorry for not getting in touch.

Charlie

Ohhhh, you are going to regret telling me this.

Me

What about Mr Elias Kötz? I've notice you are getting closer to him.

Charlie

No I haven't.

Me

I can feel the embarrassment through the phone Sis. Just ask him.

I put my phone down to the side and turned to a smiling Tina, "Who was you messaging?" she asked in a cute whisper. "Charlie, she was wondering where I was yesterday and this morning." I responded, "I said I was here with you, she is probably going to try and embarrass me. But I have a trump card."

"A trump card?" Tina asked, her head tilted a bit, "Yeah, Elias." I said smiling, she understood immediately. "I'd think they would be cute together." She responded. "Should we get up and go for Breakfast?" I asked, I looked at the time on my phone, 9AM 18th December 2019.

"It's Eliza's Birthday in 6 days." Tina said, "24th, Ember is going to be happy with that." I responded with a slight chuckle. "How long have you known Daniel?" Tina asked, "Awhile now, after he went missing he managed to track the location of the Lab, and he went in to save whoever was there. NATO was also there attacking. But Ember managed to get me and Charlie out, and he also managed to make us actual Citizens in the process." I answered. "I've trusted him ever since then. Before we came here he was the only one that knew about the Wings."

She smiled at me before getting out of bed. She went to the Bathroom and I could hear the Shower start running. I waited for her to get out before jumping in myself. After that I sent a quick message to Charlie saying that we were heading towards the Cafeteria.

We arrived at the Cafeteria and when we did she grabbed my hand. I accepted It and we walked in. we saw some others at our table, more than usual. But we grabbed our food and sat down. As soon as I sat down Charlie started, "Oh, look. The lovebirds have joined us." She said with a wide grin. "Freight train." I said. She understood and backed down. I smiled in victory.

I saw Elias look over at us, I quickly waved him over and he came to join us. "Hey guys. How's life been?" he asked as he sat down. "It's been good." Tina said looking at me, I wrapped one of my arms around her. "You are like a foot taller than her, does that shit count as a long-distance relationship." He joked, we laughed a bit.

"Can Operators Blitz, Arch-Angel, Black Death, Doc and Glaz please report to the briefing room."

"Good luck you two, Komm sicher nach Hause. (Come home safely.)" I said as they both stood up, they smiled in my direction as they left.

(Time Skip)

"Can Operators Arch-Demon, Reaper, Osiris and Montagne come to the Briefing room ASAP."

She sounded worried and Tina looked at me with worry. "I'LL SEE YOU IN A BIT, I love you." I said quickly as I left. I pretty much ran towards the Briefing room, I worried Six and operators were waiting.

"Operators, our people are trapped in a building, it was a trap and there are onslaughts of White masks assaulting the house they are hold up in, Two operators are in Critical condition and another is injured. We need you to get there now. Marius is waiting, Good luck." She said, we rushed out of the room grabbing our weapons on the way. Six handed me a bomb, "This is a plan Z, the final option. It will blow up a crater big enough to flatten the house. Use it as a last resort." She said as she quickly ran off. I place the box in my bag and jumped onto the Helicopter.

(Time skip to the location)

We was over the location, we could see the onslaught from up here, there were a bunch of White Masks with 2 people returning fire from the Inside of the building. "[Why hasn't the FBI or Navy done anything about this?]" I questioned, "[None of them are picking up hails. So we are on our own.]" Jager replied. I sighed, I was really worried for Charlie but I shrugged that off as we made our way towards the ground.

We jumped off and initiated the plan, get in there, kill everyone that isn't a friendly, and get the fuck out. Simple 3 step plan. We moved towards the white masks and started a crossfire, me using my D-50s for the extended range, whilst the others used their Rifles. "[Monty, cover me I'm moving up.]" I said through the comms as I loaded my Blundergat, Monty moved in front of me and we moved up together. The others following our lead as we started a killing wall towards the White Masks pointing the wrong way. I took 3 bullets to my wings but other than that pain I was fine; Monty's shield stopped the majority of bullets launched at us. And we took the majority of the fire so the others can move up without getting sniped.

It was at the point where we could see their numbers dwindling, and they knew this. As they now had 10 operators, 3 of which weren't shooting, in the same location as them. A lot of them started moving back and escaping, but I didn't let that happen. I dropped my Blundergat and moved towards the running White Masks, where I brutally killed them with efficiency, though taking a few bullets in the process. 2 more in my wing and one in leg.

I moved back to the house where I saw the two critical Operators, Blitz and Glaz. I then saw the mildly injured one was Arch-Angel. I flew back towards the Helicopter, it fucking hurt and wasn't the best decision. But I did it. I landed inside the Helicopter where the others were bracing to take off.

(Time Skip)

The entire fucking trip home was Charlie crying into my shoulder, I knew why. It was because of Elias, apparently he took a bomber to save Charlie, making him critically injured and making her slightly injured. She felt like it was her fault and she wouldn't be able to tell him. I did my best to comfort her, I wrapped my wings around her, trying to not get blood on her in the process. And dragged her closer to me for a hug. She embraced it and started crying into my Chest. Monty came up to try and help calm her down. We had landed and I helped take Elias towards the Infirmary, Charlie joined me, Tina caught up and noticed Charlie crying, and me rushing towards the Infirmary.

"What happened?" she asked, "It was an ambush. Elias and Glaz are in critical condition." I stated. Placing Elias down on the table and started the process in saving his life. "Come on man, you are staying in the here and now." I said, checking his pulse, then his breathing. I then connected a blood bag after a nurse threw one at me.

I started stripping him, finding his wounds and treating them as best as I could whilst a nurse hooked up some more equipment to him. I had a Nurse help me patch up his wounds whilst another doctor came over to me and started helping. I quickly looked over to where Glaz was and saw he was getting the exact same treatment. Good.

(Charlie PoV, Time Skip.)

It had been 3 hours till we last saw Andrew and Gustave, who were still in the room helping Elias and Timur. Tina and Monika was by myside, still trying to calm me down, a nurse had helped address my wounds, although they weren't major. But I saw Andrew had a bullet hole on his leg and was still running towards to help Elias, Why? He hadn't shown this respect to anyone but Tina here.

That's when I very tired Gustave and Andrew came out of the Infirmary. They walked up to us. "Both Elias and Timur are fine, they are starting to recover. However they have both gone into a medically induced coma and should be waking up between a week and a month's time." Gustave explained, I ran up and hugged him. Then went over to Andrew and gave him a hug as well. I couldn't stop crying my thank you to both of them.

I let go and asked, "Can I go and see him?" they both looked at each other and nodded. I almost ran in there before Andrew grabbed me, "Be careful with him, he is still banged up pretty bad and recovering." He said before letting go, I regained my composure and left them.

(Andrew PoV)

"You know Andrew, I do think your sister loves Elias." Gustave added with a little chuckle, "Oh I know she does."' I added back. Tina then ran up to me and started hugging me. "I'm so glad your Ok." She said worried, "Obviously I'm ok, I can't go dying on you can I?" I said returning the hug.
