Author's Note: I'm gonna try something new with this story. I want to try and have the reader be a specific animal. You know, to describe with sensory better. Let me know if you like it or not, just a little experiment.

The protective, orange space suit kept the coldness of space from reaching [Name]'s body. The rabbit works diligently to replace the damaged solar panel, a little chunk of space rock had smashed one of the power sources of the space station. Using a welder, he secures the replacement in its place. "Charlie, this is [Name}."

"I read you," A voice located inside the extraterrestrial structure responds.

[Name] utilizes the tether to pull himself back to the station, "Fixed up the panel. Can you open the airlock for me?" The entrance back into the structure opens up and [Name] goes in. The doors close behind him as the little space locks him in, readjusts the gravity, then lets him further into the space station.

As the rabbit takes off the constricting suit, a smaller grey koala greets him. The marsupial helps pull off a boot, "Wasn't that the best time you've ever had?" Charlie's sarcasm gets a smile out of [Name].

"Eh. I think that time an actual asteroid almost killed us was a little more fun," the rodent replies. With the suit off, [Name] can freely float around the station. The two push off objects and walls to go down corridors. Eventually, they reach the cantine. It's called the cantine, but truly it's just a glorified kitchen. The food container's contents are either packaged or canned, solid or liquid.

Grabbing a can of refried beans, he floats to the nearby window. "You know, Charlie, this the seventh year we've been up here," [Name] says to his koala friend. "We've been through a lot together out here. Like as previously stated, almost dying to an asteroid."

"Yeah." The marsupial looks at the rabbit, "Luckily it was affected by another planet's gravity, otherwise we'd become very acquainted with our eyelids." The two stare into the great nothingness of space. The stars and galaxies brightening the blackness like neon lights. Cotton candy purple, strawberry red, and other delicious colors danced across the void. "I know I never ask about it usually but... what was it like to be part of-" Charlie does not get to finish his thought as the station automated system's voice interrupts him.

"Attention: Ship has docked. Repeat: Ship has docked."

[Name] looks at Charlie with worry, "I never heard anything about more teams coming in today. Did you?" Charlie shakes his head and the two move toward the bridge. As they enter the large cylindrical area of the station, which connects all of the structures, a loud voice booms.

"Don't move! Or I blast your brains out!" A feminine yet dominative voice sounds from behind [Name]. The rabbit can't turn but he can see the cat behind Charlie. The cold metal of a gun pressed against the back of the rodent's head, pushing past fluffy fur. The sensation causes his ears to twitch. He sees sweat begin to form on Charlie's forehead.

A hand in placed firmly on his shoulder. What's peculiar is that it's a feathery hand, a blue feathered. [Name] is spun to face the captor and the sight makes him do a double-take. Standing right there, a gun still pointed at him, is Falco Lombardi. She was one of the only people [Name] ever got close to, and the closest friend he had on Starfox-back when he worked for them. The bird was now wearing a leather jacket, a tank top underneath, and some He stumbles on his words, "Falco?"

Falco looks confused. She opens her beak slightly without speaking for a moment. It is a while until she talks again, "How the hell do you know my name?" The freight train of despair had just ran the rabbit down on the tracks. [Name] ears slightly dip down, how could she not remember him. "I just wanted to look you in the eyes and say something badass, but now you've interested me." The azure avian looks at the pink feline behind Charlie, "Bag the koala, Katt. I'm gonna have a chat."

Katt wraps one arm around Charlie's neck with feline grace and floats with him toward the ship dock. Falco's sharp emerald eyes burn into [Name]'s. "I don't know you, but somehow you know me," she says. "So that means you got that info the shady way." The avian presses the gun to [Name]'s forehead now. Knowing there is not enough to explain himself to the hot-headed ex-teammate, he slaps the gun in her hands.

Not expecting it, Falco's gun flies from her hand. She growls at this weird guy who somehow knows her. The bird punches the rabbit across the cheek. [Name] floats back from the blow. He uses the moment to try and escape from Falco. The rabbit kicks off the walls to flee from the avian, who gives chase. Reaching a corridor, [Name] enters the bulkhead that blocks it off. The rodent finds himself in the control room of the station. A kick in the back makes the astronaut slam into a nearby console. One of the buttons slammed into turns on the pressurizer in the room, locking the bulkhead and making gravity normal. Hitting another while getting up, [Name] turns on the sprinklers.

Now with fur and feathers wet, the two get ready for a tussle. Sticking to her nature, Falco charges at [Name], almost slipping as she does. The bird slams the bunny on the floor. [Name] tries to wriggle free but her grip on him is too strong. Even though he knows he can't get free, but [Name] doesn't stop struggling. If he stops, he is admitting defeat. The rabbit tries to kick but Falco positioned herself to not allow him. Falco doesn't do anything else to the rodent, she knows he'll tire himself out. [Name] name is also soaked and running out of fuel. His struggles begin to slow and his attempts to kicks stop.

Eventually [Name] can struggle no longer. The rabbit heaves heavy breaths. The bird atop him looks down, smirking in victory. But then it hits [Name], he could explain everything to her. He speaks through breaths, "Falco, don't you remember me?" Falco looks confused again. "I'm [Name]. We were part of Starfox together." The puzzle pieces turn in Falco's head until they click.

"Oh shit." The bird releases [Name]'s now reddened wrists. The rabbit props himself up on his elbows. If either of the two had finally buried their feelings since the team split up again, they were definitely dug back up. Falco got lost in those cute [eye color] eyes of his all over again. She is a bird of prey and he's the prey, yet she felt the roles were reversed.

[Name] leaned forward, as did Falxo, and beak made contact with snout. It was a true passion that brought the two together again. The passion for the mission they did together. The passion of being on the greatest intergalactic mercenary team. And the passion for having each other. But a sudden ringing from the avian's pants pocket interrupted their reunion.

Pulling out a phone, Falco answers the call, "Hello?" She stands up and off [Name].

"Falco, I know this is sudden but," Fox's voice buzzes through the device, "I need you back on Starfox." Falco's eyes wide and so do [Name]'s.

"Of course," Falco says trying to sound cool.

"Great!" The vulpine speaks again, "I found Slippy already, can you find [Name]?" Falco can't help but smile while looking at the rabbit who had gotten up from the floor.

"Don't worry, Fox. We already found each other."

[Name] sat on the edge of his bed and looked out the window by of his old quarters. A familiar electrical buzz sneaking about The Great Fox, which caused [Name]'s ears to twitch every time it changes pitch. In his hand an old picture of his graduation from flight academy. Looking at a younger version of himself, the rabbit couldn't help the small smile that crept upon his face. [Name] was glad Fox hadn't cleared out his room while he was gone. Though due to Falco's several AWOL periods, it was probably out of habit to not clear the room.

Speaking of a frequently absent bird, Falco lies sleeping in [Name]'s bed. Her soft breathing becoming the loudest sound in the room. The starry sky blocked off from glass seemed so dreamy with all the lights of the ship off. With the outdoors unable to show differences in night and day, the lights turning off during regular sleeping hours were a nice thing to have. [Name], deciding sleep would be nice to get back to, lies down next to the slumbering bird. Carefully and slowly pulling the sheets over himself, he closes his eyes to fall asleep.
